New road closures and lane restrictions for July11, 2013
 
Northeast
Edmonton Trail between 31 Avenue N.E. to 36 Avenue N.E. will have traffic restricted to one lane in each direction starting at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 12 for approximately three months. In addition, access to 33 Avenue N.E. and 35 Avenue N.E. at Edmonton Trail on the east side will be closed. The sidewalks along the east side will be closed and bus stops will be re-located or temporarily closed, for the Edmonton Trail Road Reconstruction Project.

Southwest
Crowchild Trail between 50 Avenue S.W. to 26 Avenue S.W. will have various lane closures starting at 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily on Friday, July 12 to Monday, July 15, for construction.
 
Northwest
Westbound Crowchild Trail west of the Crowfoot LRT station will have the left lane closed and the speed limit will be reduced to 60 km/h starting at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, for utility.

6 Street S.E./6 Avenue S.E. between 5 Street S.E., Confluence Way S.E. to 8 Avenue S.E. will be closed from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, July 12.
 
Vibrant Village Society of Inglewood & Ramsay – Inglewood Night Market – Friday, July 12
10 Street S.E. between 9 Avenue S.E. to 10 Avenue S.E. will be closed from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, July 12 to Saturday, July 13.
 
Sunalta Community Association – Stampede Breakfast – Saturday, July 13
13 Avenue S.W. between 16 Street S.W. to 17 Street S.W. will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.
 
Northeast
Edmonton Trail between 28 Avenue N.E. to 31 Avenue N.E. will have traffic restricted to one lane in each direction starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 6 for approximately three months. In addition, access to 29 Avenue N.E. and 31 Avenue N.E. at Edmonton Trail on the east side will be closed. Access to 30 Avenue will be maintained. The sidewalks along the east side will be closed and bus stops will be re-located or temporarily closed, for the Edmonton Trail Road Reconstruction Project.
 
Southbound 36 Street N.E. at Marlborough CTrain station will have the left turn lane closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, for moving materials.
 
Northwest
19 Street N.W. between 1 Avenue N.W. and Kensington Road will be closed from 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 13 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, for utility work. Delays are expected in the area and motorists are advised to use 14 Street N.W. or Crowchild Trail as alternative route.
 
Southeast
48 Street S.E.  north of 90 Avenue S.E. will be closed  from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between Monday, July 15 until Friday, July 19, for utilities.
90 Avenue S.E. between 48 Street S.E. and 52 Street S.E. will have one lane closed in each direction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between Monday, July 15 until Friday, July, 19, for utilities.
 
Southbound 52 Street S.E. between 90 Avenue S.E. to 94 Avenue S.E. will be closed. In addition, northbound  52 Street S.E. between 90 Avenue S.E. to 94 Avenue S.E. will have the left lane closed. The speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h. This road closure and lane restriction will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 12 until 5 a.m. on Monday, July 15, for utilities. Delays are expected in the area and motorists are advised to use Barlow Trail as alternative route.
 
52 Street S.E. between Glenmore Trail to 90 Avenue S.E. will have various lane closures starting at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12. In addition, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h. This lane restriction will also occur at 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, for construction.

90 Avenue S.E. between 48 Street S.E. and 52 Street S.E. will have one lane closed in each direction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 5 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 6. In addition, one lane will be closed in each direction during the following week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily starting on Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, for utilities.
 
Eastbound Glenmore Trail under Blackfoot Trail bridge will have the two left lanes closed and the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h from 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 11 to 5 a.m. on Friday, July 12, for bridge construction.
 
Southwest
Northbound Crowchild Trail between Flanders Avenue to 26 Avenue S.W. will have two alternating lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily on Thursday, July 11 to Friday, July 12, for construction.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 15, the single lane bridge on 9 Avenue S.W. over 14 Street S.W.  will be closed. Traffic will be maintained on eastbound with two lanes on 9 Avenue S.W. over 14 Street S.W. In addition, 14 Street S.W. under the 9 Avenue S.W. bridge will have various lane closures starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 15 continuing until the end of September, for the 9 Avenue bridge over 14 Street S.W. rehabilitation.
 
14 Street S.W. under the 9 Avenue S.W. bridge in both directions and the sidewalk will be closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20, for bridge construction work related to the 9 Avenue bridge over 14 street S.W. rehabilitation.

Royal Avenue S.W. between 7 Street S.W. and 8 Street S.W. will be closed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, for construction.
Elbow Drive S.W. between Anderson Road and Glenmore Trail will have various lanes closed daily during off-peak traffic hours, starting Saturday, June 29 until mid-July to allow for paving. Calgary Police Service will be on site to assist with traffic control as paving crews progress through intersections.
 
Hull Avenue S.W. between Horton Road S.W. and Macleod Trail will be closed from 7 p.m. on Monday, June 3 until 3 p.m. on Friday, July 12, for major road reconstruction.
 
Long term projects – road closures and lane restrictions
 
Northeast
36 Street N.E. will be closed between 80 Avenue N.E. and Country Hills Boulevard, beginning Monday, April 8, between Airport Trail and Country Hills Boulevard for the roadway to be reconstructed from two lanes to four lanes. The closure, which will last approximately four months, will allow Airport Trail connections to be made to 36 Street N.E. eastbound from the Airport Trail tunnel. Motorists are advised to use Métis Trail N.E. as an alternative route. For more information, visit 36 Street N.E. road reconstruction and widening.
 
Southeast
Blackfoot Trail bridge over Glenmore Trail S.E. will have the speed limit reduced to 50 km/h starting at 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 and continuing through the 2014 construction season, for work related to the Blackfoot Trail Bridge rehabilitation project.  There will be various stages of construction which will have traffic pattern changes on Blackfoot Trail and lanes closures on both Blackfoot Trail and Glenmore Trail.  For further information please go to Calgary.ca and search “Blackfoot bridge”.
 
Southwest
Westbound 13 Avenue S.W. between 1 Street S.W. to 4 Street S.W. will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 29 to the beginning of September, for the 13 Avenue Heritage Greenway Project.
 
1 Street S.W. and 1 A Street S.W. between 50 Avenue S.W. and 55 Avenue S.W. will have various lane closures from 9 a.m. on Monday, July 8 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, for an underground utility installation.
