Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for January 25, 2013

Traffic announcement

Due to the construction of the new Chinook CTrain Station several traffic cameras will be offline for one to two weeks.

Southeast

54 Avenue S.E. between 30 Street S.E. and 36 Street S.E., will be closed, from 7 p.m. Friday, January 25 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 27, for utility installation. Detours posted 56 Avenue S.E. to 36 Street S.E.

Highway 22X from the Chaparral/Sun Valley to the McKenzie/Cranston intersections, speed limit will be reduced to 40 km/h and will be one lane in each direction , from 10 p.m. Friday, January 25 to 6 a.m. Saturday, January 26, for installation of new signs.

Highway 22X and Deerfoot Trail S.E., motorists may experience traffic delays in each direction between 10 p.m. Monday, January 28 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, for delivery of construction materials needed to complete bridge construction.

84 Street S.E. at Frontier Road S.E., speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, from Monday, January 14 to Tuesday, January 29, for traffic signal installation.

The eastbound lane on 6 Avenue S.E. between Macleod Trail and 3 Street S.E. will be closed, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, from Saturday, January 26 to Sunday, January 27, for construction.

Southwest

9 Avenue S.W. between 5 Street S.W and 3 Street S.W., road reduced to single lane, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 27, for construction.

1 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily, from Sunday, January 27 to February 19, for tearing down of a building.

4 Street S.W. between 20 Avenue S.W. and 21 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 7 p.m. on Friday, January 25 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 27, for crane operation.

Northwest

Northbound Centre Street north of 54 Avenue N.W., there is uneven roadway due to frost. Please drive with caution in this area.

Westbound Crowchild Trail N.W. at Brisebois Drive N.W., will have westbound left lane closed, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, January 26, for construction on LRT track.

Memorial Drive N.W. between 10 Street N.W. and Crowchild Trail N.W., will be reduced to one lane, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, from Saturday, January 26 to Sunday, January 27, for streetlight installation.
