There will be rolling police closures on westbound 8 Avenue S.W. (Stephen Avenue) from 1 Street S.E. to 11 Street S.W. from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, September 1.

Shaw Charity Classic
The following roads will be closed for the Shaw Charity Classic golf tournament from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily, from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1:

- 14 Street S.W. will be closed from Anderson Road S.W. to the intersection of Canyon Meadows Drive S.W. and Elbow Drive S.W.
- Residential access will be maintained
- Spectators are advised to take public transit and/or the shuttle service, which will pick up at the Anderson C-Train Station and at Mount Royal University
- There will be no parking in residential areas
- There is no public parking on the event site
- Visitors are advised to use public transit
New road closures and lane restrictions for Wednesday, August 28
Northwest
Kensington Crescent N.W. south of Kensington Road N.W. will have a left lane closure due to transportation of construction equipment from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, August 29.
Southeast
Barlow Trail at 61 Avenue S.E. will have various stages of construction during the month of September to allow for gas main upgrades beginning at 9 a.m., Tuesday, September 3. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes, such as Deerfoot Trail, as delays are expected. Updates will be provided as timelines for the various stages become available.

Southwest
Crowchild Trail S.W., north of Bow Trail S.W., will have both northbound and southbound right lanes closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, August 29 for bridge maintenance. Drivers are advised to expect significant delays and to plan alternate routes.

Westbound 6 Avenue S.W. will be closed at 8 Street S.W. for LRT track repair from 7 p.m., Friday, August 30 to 5 a.m., Tuesday, September 3. Motorists are urged to use 4 Avenue S.W. as an alternate route.
11 Avenue S.W. between 14 Street S.W. and 18 Street S.W. will be closed for paving from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, August 29.
Southbound Elbow Drive S.W. will be closed from 50 Avenue S.W. to 51 Avenue S.W. from 6:30 a.m., Friday, August 30 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 1, for deep utilities service.
Northbound Elbow Drive S.W. will be reduced to one lane from 50 Avenue S.W. to 51 Avenue S.W. from 6:30 a.m., Friday, August 30 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 1, for deep utilities service.
Ongoing road closures and lane restrictions
Northwest
Southbound Stoney Trail N.W. between Beddington Trail N.W. and Country Hills Boulevard N.W. will have lane reductions from from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, beginning Tuesday, August 27 until Friday, August 30. Drivers are advised to expect delays.

Westbound Country Hills Boulevard at Sarcee Trail N.W. will be reduced to one lane for construction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, beginning Monday, August 26 to Thursday, August 29.
Northbound Crowchild Trail will have a left turn restriction onto 24 Avenue N.W. daily from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. starting Monday, August 19 and lasting through to the end of November. This is part of a traffic flow pilot and will include a closure of the left turn lanes along northbound Crowchild Trail between 16 Avenue and 24 Avenue.
Northeast
Country Hills Boulevard N.E. between 14 Street N.E. and Deerfoot Trail will have the left lane closed in both directions for construction. Closures are as follows:
- Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from Monday, August 12 to Friday, September 6
- Saturdays and Sundays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Monday, August 12 to Friday, September 6
Edmonton Trail between 28 Avenue N.E. and 41 Avenue N.E. will be restricted to the two west lanes, one lane in each direction starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 21. The two east lanes are closed for reconstruction for approximately three months. Access to several roads on the east side of Edmonton Trail is also closed. Businesses and residents will still have access from the east. The sidewalks along the east side are closed and bus stops will be temporarily re-located. 36 Street N.E. will be closed between 80 Avenue N.E. and Country Hills Boulevard, beginning Monday, April 8, between Airport Trail and Country Hills Boulevard for the roadway to be reconstructed from two lanes to four lanes. The closure, which will last approximately four months, will allow Airport Trail connections to be made to 36 Street N.E. eastbound from the Airport Trail tunnel. Southeast
50 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 32 Street S.E. to 25 Street S.E. from 6 p.m., Tuesday, August 27 to 6 p.m., Friday, August 30 for utilities construction.

1 Street S.E. will have a single, right lane closure between 6 Avenue S.E. and 7 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, August 29 for landscaping.
Westbound Sun Valley Boulevard at Midlake Boulevard S.E. will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m., Monday, August 26 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 30 for utility upgrades. Detour signage will be posted.
24 Street S.E. between 86 Avenue S.E. and Quarry Park Boulevard, will have all traffic shifted to an adjacent detour road on the east side of existing roadway, to allow for utility installations and surface upgrades starting at 5 a.m. Wednesday, August 21. In addition, 85 Avenue S.E. west of Shepard Road will be restricted to local traffic only with commuter traffic detoured to the new 86 Avenue S.E. alignment, that connects to the 24 Street S.E. detour road. This stage of development is expected to last for approximately six to eight weeks at which point an upgraded section of 24 Street S.E. will fully open to traffic. Updates will be supplied as project progresses.
52 Street S.E. between Glenmore Trail and 130 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane with a mobile closure, nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, August 28 for paving. Police will be on scene to direct traffic, speeds will be reduced to 50 km/h and construction will begin southbound and switch to northbound as work progresses.
114 Avenue S.E. between 68 Street S.E. and Stoney Trail will have the speed reduced to 50 km/h from 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 until the end of September due to construction activities adjacent to the roadway. This work is being completed for Stoney Trail tie-in work.
The left turn lane on northbound Seton Way S.E. is closed for construction beginning at 6 a.m., Thursday, August 8 and will continue until Tuesday, December 31 at midnight. Drivers are advised to watch for directional signage.
Southwest
Spruce Meadows Trail (Hwy 22x) at Sheriff King Street S.W. and 6 Street S.W. will have various lane closures and speed reductions to 50 km/h from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily Monday, August 26 to Saturday, August 31 for paving. Calgary Police service will be on site to assist with traffic control. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected.

The single lane bridge on 9 Avenue S.W. over 14 Street S.W. will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 15. Traffic will be maintained on the two eastbound lanes on 9 Avenue S.W. over 14 Street S.W. In addition, 14 Street S.W. under the 9 Avenue S.W. bridge will have various lane closures starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 15 continuing until the end of September, for the 9 Avenue bridge over 14 Street S.W. rehabilitation.

Alberta Transportation projects
Southbound Deerfoot Trail N.E. at the Memorial Drive Eastbound Bridge will have nightly lane closures for Alberta Transportation’s Deerfoot Trail maintenance, as follows:
- From 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27 traffic will be reduced to two right lanes on southbound Deerfoot Trail
- From 11 p.m. Tuesday, August 27 to 1:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, traffic will be reduced to one right lane
- From 1:30 a.m. to 5 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, traffic will be reduced to one left lane
- At 5 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, regular lane use will be restored
Northbound Deerfoot Trail N.E. at the Memorial Drive Eastbound Bridge will have nightly lane closures for Alberta Transportation’s Deerfoot Trail maintenance, as follows:

- From 1:30 a.m. to 5 a.m., Thursday, August 29, traffic will be reduced to one left lane
- From 11 p.m., Wednesday, August 28 to 5 a.m., Thursday, August 29, the Memorial Drive eastbound ramp access to northbound Deerfoot Trail will be closed
- At 5 a.m., Thursday, August 29, regular lane use will be restored
Memorial Drive eastbound bridge:
- Construction crews will be working on the north side of the Memorial Drive eastbound bridge from 9 p.m., Tuesday, August 27 to 5 a.m., Thursday, August 28. Lanes will be reduced to two right lanes.
Drivers are advised to be on the lookout for construction crews and equipment.
