Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for April 30, 2013

Southwest
Northbound 11 Street S.W. at 6 Avenue S.W. the left lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily  between Wednesday, May 1 until Friday, May 3. In addition, westbound 6 Avenue at 11 Street S.W.  the right lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between Wednesday, May 1 until Friday, May 3, for construction.

Southbound 14 Street S.W. at 15 Avenue S.W.  the right lane will remain closed until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, to complete water service repairs.

Centre Street between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3. In addition, the west sidewalk will be closed from 9 a.m. on Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3, for replacing a sidewalk.

Westbound 13 Avenue S.W. between 1 Street S.W. to 4 Street S.W. will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 29, for approximately two months for the13 Avenue Heritage Greenway Project.
 
Southeast
Northbound 52 Street S.E. at Peigan Trail the right lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between Wednesday, May 1 to Thursday May 2, to allow for new roadway construction related to the Peigan Trail extension. 52 Street S.E. is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 50 km/h that will remain in effect due construction activities close to the roadway.

Westbound 11 Avenue S.E. west of Olympic Way S.E. the two left lanes will be closed, from 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, for utilities.

52 Street S.E. at 126 Avenue S.E., one lane will be open in each direction and there will be no left turns at the intersection from 7 a.m. on Friday, May 3 for approximately a month, for utility installation.

The right lane will be closed and the speed restricted to 60 km/h on northbound Macleod Trail at 210 Avenue S.E. starting at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 27 for approximately one week, to allow for roadway construction.

Southbound Macleod Trail (1 Street S.E.)  between 4 Avenue S.E. and 5 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one right lane starting 7 p.m. on Monday, April 26 until 5 a.m. on Friday, May 31, for construction.
 
Southbound Deerfoot Trail speed will be reduced to 50 km/h in the construction zone and motorists may experience delays from April 21 until May 10, for trucks moving materials from Deerfoot Trail S.E. between highway 22X and Cranston Avenue/Seton Boulevard S.E.

Northbound 3 Street S.E. at 7 Avenue S.E., the right lane will be closed. In addition, the eastside of sidewalk on 3 Street S.E. north of 7 Avenue S.E. will be closed. This will start at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 15 until 6 p.m. on Friday, May 10, for construction.

68 Street S.E. between 106 Avenue S.E. and 108 Avenue S.E. will have all traffic shifted to an adjacent eastside road, to allow for utility installations and surface upgrades, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The speed limit of the detour road will be reduced to 30 km/h. This stage of construction is expected to last until mid-May. Updates will be provided as the project progresses.
 
100 Street S.E., between Glenmore Trail and Venture Avenue, will be closed for approximately six weeks starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2 to allow for water service upgrades and utility connections. Traffic will be directed to 84 Street S.E. to bypass the construction. Local business access will be maintained.
 
Northeast|
45 Avenue N.E. between 12 Street N.E.  and 11 Street N.E. will be closed from 9 a.m. Monday, April 29 until 6 p.m. approximately Friday, May 10 for utility installation.

Westbound Memorial Drive, west of 28 Street N.E.  the left lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, between  Monday, April 29 until Friday, May 3, for construction for the NE LRT Platform Extension Project

12 Avenue N.E. between 2 Street N.E. and Edmonton Trail will be closed from 9 a.m. on Friday, May 3, until 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, for underground utilities installation.

36 Street N.E. will be closed between 80 Avenue N.E. and Country Hills Boulevard, beginning Monday, April 8, between Airport Trail and Country Hills Boulevard for the roadway to be reconstructed from two lanes to four lanes. The closure, which will last approximately four months, will allow Airport Trail connections to be made to 36 Street N.E. eastbound from the Airport Trail tunnel. Motorists are advised to use Métis Trail N.E. as an alternative route. For more information, visit 36 Street N.E. road reconstruction and widening.
 
Northwest
Northbound Shaganappi Trail N.W. to eastbound John Laurie Boulevard N.W. a portion of the ramp will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between Wednesday, May 1 until Monday, May 6, for landscaping.

Lane closures on Centre Street between Laycock Drive and Thorncrest Road will restrict traffic to a single lane in each direction starting at 4 a.m. Monday, April 22, for the Centre Street Reconstruction and Transit Priority project. Construction will last for approximately six to eight weeks, expect delays.  For more information, please visit www.calgary.ca/centrestreet.
 
Westbound 16 Avenue N.W. west of Sarcee Trail, one lane will be closed, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, from Tuesday, April 9 until Wednesday, May 15, for noise wall replacement.
