Calgary road closures and lane restrictions - September 30, 2013

New road closures and lane restrictions

There will be various lane closures on northbound Blackfoot Trail at the bridge over Glenmore Trail from 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 30 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, October 1 for concrete work. The speed limit will be reduced to 30 km/h, and will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1 to minimize impact to the bridge deck during the concrete pouring and curing. Major delays are expected, and drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes.

 

One lane will be closed on eastbound 6 Avenue S.E. between Macleod Trail and 3 Street S.E. from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1 until noon on Saturday, October 12 for sidewalk repairs and construction.

33 Street S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 14 Avenue S.W., near the bus loop at Westbrook Station from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1 for crosswalk construction.

 The right lane on westbound 4 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 2 Street S.W. and 3 Street S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Tuesday, October 1 until Friday, October 4 for construction.

 

There will be alternating lane closures in both directions on Shaganappi Trail, between John Laurie Boulevard and Dalhousie Drive from Monday, September 30 until Wednesday, October 2 for paving preparation.

 

There will be a single left lane closure on northbound Deerfoot Trail under the Memorial Drive Bridge from 9 p.m. on Monday, September 30 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1 for overhead bridge work.
