Calgary road closures and lane restrictions - October 9, 2013
*Emergency closure**
Eastbound 5 Avenue S.W. is reduced to three lanes between 11 Street S.W. and 10 Street S.W. effective immediately until 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 for emergency utility repairs.
Southwest
The two right lanes will be closed on southbound Macleod Trail at James McKevitt Road from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily until Friday, October 11 for roadwork. The speed will be restricted to 50 km/h during this time. The exit to James Mckevitt Road will remain open during construction.
The right lane on northbound 45 Street S.W. will be closed at 17 Avenue S.W. on Thursday, October 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crosswalk construction.
Malibou Road S.W. will be closed between Elbow Drive and MacKay Drive S.W. from 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 10 until 8 a.m. on Monday, October 14 for utility work.
Eastbound 17 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 1 Street S.W. and 2 Street S.W. until 8 p.m. on Friday, October 11 for emergency water service repairs. Traffic will be redirected to 9 Avenue S.W. Local traffic will be directed to 18 Avenue S.W. During this time, westbound 17 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane between 1 Street S.W. and 2 Street S.W. Local business access will be maintained. Delays are expected, and drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes.
Northeast
Westbound Memorial Drive will be closed from 36 Street N.E. to Barlow Trail (at Franklin LRT Station) from 8 p.m. on Friday, October 11 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 for platform construction.
Southeast
28 Street S.E. is closed between 26 Avenue and 28 Avenue S.E. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 for utility work.
