Calgary road closures and lane restrictions - October 24, 2013

 
Southwest
Oakfield Drive is reduced to one lane in each direction just south of Oakwood Drive until 7 p.m. on Friday, October 25.
 
85 Street S.W. is closed at 26 Avenue S.W. for utility installations for approximately one week. Northbound traffic is redirected to 69 Street S.W. to 17 Avenue S.W. for access. Southbound traffic is redirected to 69 Street S.W. to Springbank Boulevard S.W.
 
Westbound 17 Avenue S.W. is reduced to one lane between 5 Street S.W. and 5A Street S.W. until Friday, October 25 for utility work. The sidewalk is also closed during this time.
 
12 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 15 Street S.W. and 17 Street S.W. from 5 p.m. on Friday, October 25 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 for utility work.
 
10 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 5 Street S.W. and 6 Street S.W. from 9 a.m. on Friday, October 25 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 for emergency utility repairs. Cyclists and drivers should proceed with caution and share the road during this time.
 
One lane will be closed on 5 Street S.W. between 9 Avenue and 10 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. on Friday, October 25 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 for emergency utility repairs.
 
The right lane is closed on southbound Crowchild Trail at 33 Avenue S.W. until 11 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, and again from 7 p.m. Friday, October 25 to 10 p.m. Sunday, October 27 for utility work. The speed will be restricted to 50 km/h during this time.
 
Southeast
The right lane will be closed on northbound Macleod Trail S.E., north of 25 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 25 for roadwork. The speed will be reduced to 50 km/h during this time.
 
The right lane will be closed on northbound Blackfoot Trail at the bridge over Glenmore Trail from 6 p.m. on Friday, October 25 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 for concrete work. The speed will be reduced to 30 km/h during this time. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected.
 
68 Street S.E. will be closed south of 114 Avenue S.E. on Saturday, October 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will also be alternating lane closures on 114 Avenue S.E. during this time. Landfill access will be maintained via 64 Street S.E.
 
The southbound left turn bay will be closed on 52 Street S.E. at 50 Avenue S.E. on Saturday, October 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for signal installation. The northbound left lane will also be closed during this time, and speed will be restricted to 50 km/h. Police will be on-site.
 
Northeast
Two right lanes will be closed on 36 Street N.E., just north of Memorial Drive N.E . starting Friday, November 1 at 9 a.m. until Sunday, November 2 at 6 p.m. for utility work.
 
1 Avenue N.E. will be closed between 7 A Street and 8 Street N.E. from 9 a.m. on Friday, October  25 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 for roadwork.
 
4 Avenue N.E. is closed at 2 Street N.E. until 7 p.m. on Friday, October 25 for utility work.
 
Edmonton Trail will be closed between 33 Avenue and 37 Avenue N.E. starting Thursday, October 24 at 7 p.m. for approximately one week for utility work.  Local access will be maintained. More information is available at www.calgary.ca/edmontontrail .
 
Southbound Barlow Trail N.E. is reduced to one lane at 16 Avenue N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, November 8 for roadwork. The ramp from eastbound 16 Avenue to southbound Barlow Trail will be narrowed during this time.
 
Eastbound 64 Avenue N.E. is reduced to one lane at Métis Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, October 25 for roadwork.
Northwest
 
Nose Hill Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Tuscany Hill N.W. from 9 a.m. on Friday, October 25 until 8 p.m. on Friday, November 1 for utility work.
 
Eastbound Crowchild Trail will be reduced to one lane at Stoney Trail from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 25 for LRT construction.
 
One lane will be closed on westbound Beddington Trail  at Harvest Hills Boulevard North from 9 a.m. to to 3 p.m. daily on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 for road inspections.
