Calgary road closures and lane restrictions - October 17, 2013

Southwest

The right lane on northbound Blackfoot Trail will be closed and the speed reduced to 30 km/h at the bridge over Glenmore Trail from 2 p.m. Saturday, October 19 to 5 a.m. Monday, October 21 for concrete pours related to the Blackfoot Trail Bridge project. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected.

The right lane on southbound Crowchild Trail will be closed at 33 Avenue S.W. from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 and again from 9 a.m. Friday, October 18 to 10 p.m. Sunday, October 20 for utility work.

Eastbound 42 Avenue S.W. will be closed between Stanley Road and Macleod Trail S.W. from 9 a.m. on Friday, October 18 until 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 19 for underground utility repairs.

Eastbound 17 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction west of 14 Street S.W. from 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 19 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 20. The right lane of southbound 14 Street S.W. will also be closed at 17 Avenue S.W. during this time.

85 Street S.W. will be closed at 26 Avenue S.W. for utilities installation starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23for approximately one week. Northbound traffic is asked to redirect to 69 ST SW to 17 AV SW for access. Southbound traffic is asked to redirect to 69 ST SW to SPRINGBANK BLVD SW for access.

Richmond Road will be closed just east of 37 Street S.W. from 7 p.m. on Friday, October 18 until noon on Sunday, October 20 for utility work.

Southeast

40 Street S.E. will be closed between 61 Avenue and 64 Avenue S.E. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 19 for utility work . Traffic will be detoured to 36 Street S.E. and 44 Street S.E. Local business access will be maintained.

Southbound 52 Street S.E. will be closed between 68 Street S.E. and 72 Street S.E. on Friday, October 18 at 7 p.m. until Monday, October 21 at 5 a.m. for utility work.

Northwest

Southbound 14 Street N.W. is reduced to one lane at Macewan Glen Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, October 18 for utility work.

Westbound Country Hills Boulevard is reduced to one lane at Royal Birch Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, October 18 for median work.

Northeast

One lane is closed on westbound 16 Avenue N.E. at 68 Street N.E. until Friday, October 18 at 3 p.m.

One lane is closed on westbound Memorial Drive at 28 Street N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, October 18 for LRT work at Franklin Station.

Southbound Barlow Trail N.E. is reduced to one lane at 16 Avenue N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, November 8 for roadwork. The ramp from eastbound 16 Avenue to southbound Barlow Trail will be narrowed during this time.

Through traffic is not permitted on Taravista Drive N.E. between Tarawood Road N.E. and Taracove Road N.E. until 3 p.m. on Friday, October 18 for roadwork. Local traffic will be maintained.

One left lane is closed on westbound Beddington Trail N.E. between Beddington Boulevard and Harvest Hills Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, October 18 for curb work.

Special Events

Open 4 Business 4 Street BRZ event - Saturday, October 19 – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

4 Street S.W. will be closed between 13 Avenue and 26 Avenue S.W. 17 Avenue S.W. will remain open. Police will be on-site, please follow all traffic controls.
