Calgary road closures and lane restrictions - October 11, 2013

20 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 6 Street N.W. and 7 Street N.W. until Sunday, October 13 at 6 p.m.

 

Southbound Shaganappi Trail will be reduced to one lane from John Laurie Boulevard to Dalhousie Drive N.W. from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13 for paving. The ramps from southbound Shaganappi Trail to Dalhousie Drive N.W. will be closed during this time. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes.

 

Flint Road S.E. is closed between Fairmount Drive S.E . and Heritage Drive S.E. for an emergency water main break. The road is expected to reopen at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 11.

 

Westbound 46 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Highfield Road to Blackfoot Trail from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.  on Sunday, October 13 for paving.

 

Eastbound 61 Avenue S.E. will be closed between Barlow Trail and 36 Street S.E. from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 12 for gas main upgrades.  Traffic will be detoured to 72 Avenue S.E.

 

42 Avenue S.E. will be closed between 1 Street S.E. and 39 Avenue S.E. for CPR railway repairs from 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 12 to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 14.  The Calgary Transit LRT tracks will be unaffected. Local business access will be maintained. Delays are expected. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes such as 58 Avenue S.E.

 

42 Avenue S.E. will be closed between Manhattan Road S.E. and Blackfoot Trail S.E. from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 for paving.

 

Dartmouth Road will be closed from the traffic circle to 25 Avenue S.E. from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 for paving.

 

Malibou Road S.W. is closed between Elbow Drive and MacKay Drive S.W. from until 8 a.m. on Thursday, October 17 for utility work.

 

17 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 37 Street S.W. on Saturday, October 12 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. for crosswalk work.

 

The eastbound left turn lane on 17 Avenue S.W. will be closed at  37 Street S.W.  on Saturday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for crosswalk construction.

 

The north and southbound left turn lanes will be closed on 45 Street S.W. at 17 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  on Saturday October 12 for crosswalk construction.

 

17 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 47 Street S.W. from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15 for crosswalk construction.

 

1 Street S.W. will be closed between 7 Avenue and 6 Avenue S.W. on Saturday, October 12 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, October 13 at 8 p.m. for a hydrant installation.

 

3 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 2 Street S.W. and 3 Street S.W. on Saturday, October 12 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, October 13 at 8 p.m. for utility work.

 

Westbound Memorial Drive will be closed from 36 Street N.E. to Barlow Trail (at Franklin LRT Station) from 8 p.m. on Friday, October 11 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 for platform construction.

 

Métis Trail will be reduced to one lane in each direction just north of 80 Avenue N.E. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, October 14 for road repairs.

 

Southbound 14 Street N.W. will be reduced to one lane at Macewan Glen Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily starting Tuesday, October 15 until Friday, October 18 for utility work.

 

Westbound Country Hills Boulevard will be reduced to one lane at Royal Birch Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily starting Tuesday, October 15 until Friday, October 18 for median work.

 

Southbound Barlow Trail N.E. will be reduced to one lane at 16 Avenue N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily starting Tuesday, October 15 until Friday, November 8 for roadwork. The ramp from eastbound 16 Avenue to southbound Barlow Trail will be narrowed during this time.

 

There will be no through traffic on Taravista Drive N.E. between Tarawood Road N.E. and Taracove Road N.E. from 7 a.m, on Tuesday, October 15 until 3 p.m. on Friday, October 18 for roadwork. Local traffic will be maintained.

 

One left lane will be closed on westbound Beddington Trail N.E. between Beddington Boulevard and Harvest Hills Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Tuesday, October 15 until Friday, October 18 for curb work.
