Calgary Road Closures - November 19, 2014

Southwest

EXTENDED: Westbound Richmond Road S.W. is closed at 37 Street S.W. until Sunday, November 23 for utility work. During this time, northbound 37 Street S.W. is reduced to one lane, and the adjacent sidewalk is also closed.

Northwest

Symons Valley Road is completely closed between 144 Avenue N.W. and Sage Meadow Circle. This closure is expected to last until December 2014. During this time, all heavy truck traffic will be detoured to Shaganappi Trail, and local traffic will be detoured via Sage Hill Drive to 144 Avenue N.W. Visit the webpage for  further information.

Southeast

There will be various single lane closures in all directions at the intersection of Peigan Trial and 52 Street S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, November 17 to Friday, November 21 for signal work. The speed limits at intersection will remain at 50 km/h due to continued construction activities.

Extended: There will be various lane closures on Spiller Road S.E. south of 25 Avenue S.E. starting Tuesday, August 26 until Tuesday, November 25 due to utility work.

The west sidewalk of 3 Street S.E. between 7 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. is closed for construction until February 2015. 

3 Street S.E. will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 6 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until the end of January 2015. The sidewalk will also be closed during this time.

Starting Monday, October 6 for approximately two months, there will be various single lane closures in place 24/7, plus multiple lane closures during evenings and weekends to allow for the City of Calgary’s Water Services’ water main upgrade project- under the Graves Bridge on Glenmore Trail over the Bow River. Please note there will also be periodic road closures on the Heritage Drive connection to and from Glenmore Trail.

4 Street S.E. is closed between 9 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. until the end of January 2015.  This closure is needed to facilitate the construction of the +60 pedestrian bridge at the National Music Centre.
