Northeast

NEW: Westbound single lane closure on Memorial Drive N.E. at 9 Street N.E. (Bridgeland Station) beginning on Friday, May 19 at 10 p.m. until Sunday, May 21 at 10 p.m. for maintenance. During this closure, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr. through the maintenance zone.

NEW: Various lane closures at the intersections of 32 Avenue N.E. and 32 Street N.E. on Saturday, May 20 from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accommodate road maintenance.

NEW: The intersection of 32 Avenue and 36 Street N.E. will see various lane closures on Saturday, May 20 between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. for paving. One lane of travel will be open north and southbound on 36 Street while 32 Avenue will be closed at the intersection.

NEW: Various lane closures at the intersections of 39 Avenue N.E. and 36 Street N.E. beginning on Saturday, May 20 from 7 a.m. to Monday, May 22 at 12 p.m. to accommodate paving.

NEW: 32 Avenue N.E. is closed between 56 Street N.E. and 60 Street N.E. beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 22 for water main replacement. This closure will remain in place through 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, and traffic will be detoured to Temple Drive N.E.

Reduced lane eastbound through the length of the Airport Tunnel on Airport Trail N.E. beginning on Wednesday, May 17 at 8 a.m. to Friday, May 19 at 3:30 p.m. to accommodate fire alarm maintenance. During this closure, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr. through the maintenance zone.

Westbound traffic on McDougall Road N.E. between 7 Street N.E. and 7A Street N.E. will be closed beginning on Wednesday, May 17 at 7 a.m. to Wednesday June 7 at 5 p.m. This closure accommodates curb and sidewalk work. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Reduced lanes both northbound and southbound on 19 Street N.E. between Aero Drive N.E. and Airport Trail N.E. beginning on Tuesday, May 16 at 6 a.m. to Tuesday, May 23 at 7 p.m. to accommodate utility work.

Barlow Trail N.E. between Freeport Drive N.E. and Country Hills Boulevard N.E. is reduced to a single lane in each direction on the west side of Barlow Trail N.W. beginning on Tuesday, May 16 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, June 25 at 6 p.m. to accommodate road construction.

Southbound 11 Street N.E. between Aviation Road and 53 Avenue N.E. will be closed and there will be two-way traffic on the East side of the road. This closure starts on Monday, May 15 at 6 a.m. until Tuesday, May 30 at 6 p.m. and accommodates water main replacement work.

Road closure on Radford Road N.E. at Regent Crescent N.E. starting Thursday, May 11 at 7 a.m. until Thursday, May 25 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates utility work.

Skyview Ranch Drive N.E. is closed between Skyview Shores Manor and Skyview Ranch Street N.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 1. This closure continues until 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 and accommodates road construction.

Northwest

Road closure originally scheduled at 5A Street N.W. between 1 Avenue and Memorial Drive N.W. has been postponed until Monday, May 15 at 7 a.m. through to Saturday, May 20 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates major water services work.

Various single lane closures on 16 Avenue N.W. at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 17. Pedestrian and vehicle detours will be indicated via signage. This closure is part of an intersection improvement project and is expected to continue through October 2017.

16 Ave NW / Bowfort Road Interchange Improvements

• Update: There is a new traffic pattern on eastbound 16 Avenue N.W. at Bowfort Road N.W. Motorists wishing to access Bowfort Road should remain in the right lane, all other traffic will be diverted under the bridge.
• Daily lane reductions on Bowfort Road N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice.

Stoney Trail/ Sarcee Trail Interchange Improvements

Southeast

NEW: Reduced lane southbound on 52 Street S.E. and eastbound on McKenzie Towne Boulevard S.E. on weekdays beginning Friday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Wednesday, May 24. No detour scheduled for Monday, May 22. During this closure, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr. on 52 Street S.E. through the work area. This is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Road closed on Macleod Trail S.E. at 7 Avenue SE beginning on Friday, May 19 at 7 p.m. to Tuesday, May 23 at 3 a.m. for transit maintenance. Partial lane closures from 10 Avenue S.E. to 9 Avenue S.E. with full road closed at 9 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. Access will still be available to parkade at EPCOR Centre. Vehicle detour will be indicated via signage.

Reduced lanes (right lane closed) on northbound 33 Street S.E. between 19 Avenue and 17 Avenue S.E. starting on Monday, May 15 at 7 a.m. until Wednesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

Reduced lanes (right lane closed) at the McKenzie Towne Traffic Circle S.E. starting Monday, May 15 to Friday, May 19 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. This closure accommodates pedestrian signal work.

Road closure at 210 Avenue S.E. between Sheriff King Street and MacLeod Trail S.E. starting Monday, May 15 until Monday, July 31. This closure accommodates utility work. Please use alternate routes.

Reduced lanes on northbound 52 Street N.E. between New Brighton Gate and New Brighton Drive S.E. starting Monday, May 15 until Wednesday, May 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. This closure accommodates underground utility work.

Southbound 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.E. will be fully closed starting on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 a.m. until early July. Access to Lot 47 will be available at all times and can only be accessed from 9 Avenue S.E. Please use alternate routes and expect delays. This closure accommodates the 3 Street corridor improvement project.

Road closure at 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue and 7 Avenue S.E. starting Wednesday, May 10 at 7 a.m. until Friday, June 16 at 12 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

17 Ave S.E. BRT Project

• NEW: 36 Street S.E. is closed between 16 Avenue and 17 Avenue S.E. beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 19. This closure remains in place until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23.

6 Avenue S.E. is closed between 5 Street S.E. and Confluence Way S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 24. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 and accommodates deep utility work. Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and use alternate routes.

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

• NEW: The right lane will be closed on eastbound Glenmore Trail S.E. west of Barlow Trail S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 19.
• NEW: The right lane will be closed eastbound Glenmore Trail S.E. east of 18 Street S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 19. These sections of Glenmore Trail are already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 50 km/h that will remain in effect for 24 hours daily for the duration of construction related to the Glenmore Trail / Ogden Road interchange project.

• The Shepard Road access south of Glenmore is closed. There will be a new access created at 24 Street S.E. south of Glenmore Trail, west of the existing Shepard Road alignment. Traffic requiring to access Shepard Road south of Glenmore Trial will be detoured via the new 24 Street S.E. exit and then along 86 Avenue S.E. to reconnect with Shepard Road.

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue construction project

• NEW: The exit ramp from 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard to southbound Macleod Trail will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, May 18 until 5 a.m. Friday, May 19. Traffic will be directed to use the Midlake Boulevard S.E. exit as a detour.

Southwest

NEW: Road closure on 5 Avenue S.W. at 9 Street S.W. beginning on Friday, May 19 at 10 p.m. until Tuesday, May 23 at 3 a.m. This closure accommodates Transit maintenance work.

NEW: Road closure on 5 Street S.W. at 6 Avenue S.W. beginning on Friday, May 19 at 10 p.m. until Tuesday, May 23 at 3 a.m. Vehicle and bike detours will be indicated via signage. This closure accommodates Transit maintenance work.

NEW: Eastbound road closure on 10 Avenue S.W. at 9 Street S.W. beginning on Saturday, May 20 at 6 a.m. until Sunday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Pedestrian and vehicle detours will be indicated via signage. This closure accommodates utility work.

NEW: 14 Street S.W. will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Heritage Drive and 90 Avenue S.W. starting at 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 until 11 a.m. on Sunday, May. 21.

Northbound 9 Street S.W. will be closed between 16 Avenue S.W and 17 Avenue S.W. on weekdays beginning on Tuesday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Tuesday, May 23 at 3 p.m. Motorists advised to use detour route provided. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

Reduced lanes (right lane closed) at 1 Street S.W. between 12 Avenue and 13 Avenue S.W. starting Monday, May 15 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, June 4 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates road construction.

Road and sidewalk closures at 1 Street S.W. between 10 Avenue and 12 Avenue S.W. starting Wednesday, May 10 at 7 a.m. until Saturday, June 10 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

Various lane closures on 1 Street S.W. between 10 Avenue and 17 Avenue S.W. starting Monday, May 8 at 7 a.m. until Saturday, June 10. Safe pedestrian access will be maintained and access to businesses and residents will be accommodated during construction. These closures accommodate 1 Street corridor improvement project. Use alternate routes and expect delays.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

• NEW: The intersection of 1 Street S.E. (MacLeod Trail southbound) and 17 Ave. will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, May 19 to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23 to accommodate underground utility work. North/south traffic will be restricted but vehicles will still be able to use and exit the business access only lane on 17 Avenue onto Macleod Trail during business hours.
• NEW: 17 Avenue will be closed to traffic between Macleod Trail and Centre Street starting May 19. For more information on the 17 Avenue construction schedule visit Calgary.ca/17Avenue.
• UPDATE: Reduced lanes on eastbound 17 Avenue S.W. between 8 Street and 9 Street S.W. starting Monday, May 15 until Thursday, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. & from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day. This closure accommodates sidewalk removal and installation. Work has been rescheduled for weekdays and will begin on Monday, May 22 to Friday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Reduced lane on Macleod Trail S.E. at 17 Avenue S.E. beginning on Tuesday, May 16 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, May 30 at 3 p.m. to accommodate road construction.
• 17 Avenue S.W. is closed between Macleod Trail S.E. and 1 Street S.E. During this closure, local business access will be maintained. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19.

• Starting May 24, 24 Street S.W. is permanently closed north of Highway 22x as part of the SWRR construction project.
