Calgary road closures - May 1, 2014

Northeast

Southbound 52 Street N.E. will be reduced to one lane at 26 Avenue N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Thursday, May 1 to Friday, May 16 due to utility work.

Eastbound Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane at 4 Street N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Friday, April 25 to Saturday, May 31 due to construction.

Northwest

NEW: 5 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 19 Street N.W. and 20 Street N.W. from 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 4 due to utility work.

5 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 7 Street N.W. and 9A Street N.W. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from Wednesday, April 30 to Friday, May 2 due to building construction.

There will be various lane closures on eastbound Memorial Drive between Crowchild Trail and 16 Street N.W. until Thursday, May 15 due to riverbank restoration. On weekdays lane restrictions will be in effect daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on weekends daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Southeast

36 Street S.E. will be closed between 8 Avenue S.E. and 10 Avenue S.E. from 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 1 to 8 a.m. on Friday, May 2 due emergency utility work.

Ogden Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 34 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30 until Wednesday, May 7 due to utility work. Delays expected. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes like Blackfoot Trail.

The right lane on southbound 52 Street S.E. between 68 Avenue S.E. and 72 Avenue S.E. will be closed from 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 27 to Sunday, May 11 due to utility work. At the same time speed will be reduced to 50 km/h. In addition 68 Avenue S.E. will be closed west of 52 Street S.E. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes like Barlow Trail.

Southwest

2 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 2 Street and 3 Street S.W. from Sunday, April 6 at 6 p.m. until July 3 at 6 p.m.

The left lane and sidewalk are closed on 11 Avenue S.W. between 11 Street S.W. and 12 Street S.W. until Tuesday, September 30 due to building construction.
