Calgary road closures - March 12, 2014

Northeast

Eastbound Memorial Drive will be reduced to two lanes at 9 Street N.E. (Bridgeland LRT station) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, March 14 for LRT construction.

The left lane is closed on eastbound Memorial Drive west of Barlow Trail S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, March 14 for construction.

Southeast

Northbound Macleod Trail will be reduced to two lanes at Heritage Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly starting on Wednesday, March 12 until Saturday, March 15 for utility work.

Macleod Trail will be reduced to one lane in each direction south of 36 Avenue S.E. starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 for utility repairs. Mission road will also be reduced to one in each direction lane at this intersection during this time.

The right lane will be closed on southbound 52 Street S.E., north of 64 Avenue S.E. until 3 p.m. on
Wednesday, March 12 for utility repairs. The speed will be restricted to 50 km/h during this time.

The sidewalk will be closed on the north side of 9 Avenue S.E. between 3 Street S.E. and 4 Street S.E. until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 due to building construction.

Blackfoot Trail will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 53 Avenue S.E., and the speed lowered to 50 km/h from 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13 for overhead utility work. Crews will be on site to stop traffic as required while the overhead lines are removed across roadway.

A new traffic light will be activated on the east side of Macleod Trail at 210 Avenue SE on Thursday, March 13. The speed limit along Macleod Trail will be reduced to 60 km/h leading up to this location.

The right lane on Macleod Trail will be closed between 7 Avenue S.E. and 9 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Wednesday, March 12 to Thursday, March 13.

Sunday, March 16 from 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

  • 21 Street S.W. will be closed between 50 Avenue S.W. and 58 Avenue S.W.
  • 19 Street S.W. will be closed between 50 Avenue S.W. and 58 Avenue S.W.
  • Eastbound 50 Avenue S.W. between 20 Street S.W. and 14a Street S.W., will be reduced to one lane.
