Northeast

NEW: Reduced eastbound lane on Memorial Drive N.E. between 9 Street N.E. and 12 Street N.E. on Friday, June 16 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds reduced to 60 km/h through work area with a flagman present. Construction is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lane on eastbound 16 Avenue N.E. at 1 Street N.E. on Friday, June 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pedestrian restricted access indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Road closure on 21 Street N.E. between 18 Avenue N.E. and 20 Avenue/Ventura Road N.E. on Saturday, June 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Business access will be available. This closure is to accommodate a school event.

NEW: Road closure on Rundlehorn Drive N.E. at 62 Street N.E. beginning on Friday, June 16 at 5 p.m. to Monday, June 19 at 5 a.m. Vehicle access to local traffic only with detours indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Road closure on Regal Crescent N.E. from 6 Street N.E. to 7 Street N.E. with reduced lane on 7 Street N.E. between 13 Avenue N.E. and Regal Crescent N.E. beginning on Monday, June 19 at 7 a.m. to Monday, July 3 at 5 a.m. Vehicle detours indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate major utility work.

Reduced lanes eastbound/westbound on Airport Trail N.E. at Deerfoot Trail N.E. beginning on Thursday, June 15 at 7 a.m. to Saturday, June 24 at 12 p.m. Speeds reduced to 50 km/hr. approaching the work zone. This closure is to accommodate construction.

Reduced westbound left lane on McKnight Boulevard N.E. approaching Barlow Trail N.E. beginning on Thursday, June 15 to Friday, June 30 on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50km/h approaching the closure. Closure is to accommodate construction work.

Road closure on 9 Street N.E. between Centre Avenue N.E. and St Matthew Square N.E. beginning on Monday, June 12 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, June 18 at 6 p.m. Park access will remain open. Pedestrian and vehicle detours indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate utility work.

Reduced northbound and southbound lanes on Falconridge Boulevard N.E. at Taradale Drive N.E. weekdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 P.M. beginning on Monday, June 12 to Wednesday, August 2. Pedestrian detour indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate transit construction work.

Northwest

NEW: Road closure on Hamptons Drive N.W. between Hampstead Rise N.W. and Hampstead Terrace N.W. from Friday, June 16 at 10 a.m. to Monday, June 19 at 5 a.m. Local access only. Alternate access routes will be posted via signage approaching the closure. Bus route will be disrupted. This closure is to accommodate emergency utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes on westbound Kensington Road N.W. between 17 Street N.W. and 18 Street N.W. beginning on Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, June 18 at 7 p.m. Eastbound traffic restricted at 17 street N.W. with vehicle and pedestrian detours indicated via signage. Closure to accommodate utility work.

16 Avenue NW / Home Road project

• NEW: Right lane closed on westbound 16 Avenue N.W from 49 Street to 46 Street N.W. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays beginning Tuesday, June 20. This closure also occurs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and continues until early July.
• NEW: Right lane closed on eastbound 16 Avenue N.W. from 49 Street to Home Road N.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays beginning Tuesday, June 20. This closure also occurs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and continues until Tuesday, June 27.

16 Avenue N.W. at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. will see various lane closures until the end of October, 2017 as part of an intersection improvement project.

16 Ave NW / Bowfort Road Interchange Improvements

• Starting at 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, the temporary access into Canada Olympic Park will be closed, and a new permanent access point into this area will open. This area will have police onsite to help direct traffic, motorists are advised to expect delays and watch their speed in the area.
• Daily lane reductions on Bowfort Road N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice.For more information on this project, visit the project page.

Stoney Trail/ Sarcee Trail Interchange Improvements

NEW: Reduced northbound lane on 52 Street S.E. at 17 Avenue S.E. on Saturday, June 17 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate construction.

NEW: Road closure with left turn restrictions on Centre Street S.E. at 17 Avenue S.E. to 15 Avenue S.E. from Monday, June 19 at 7 a.m. to Saturday, July 1 at 7 p.m. Closure to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes on Acadia Drive S.E. between Willow Park Drive S.E. and Willowgreen Drive S.E. on Monday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Flagger will be present to maintain residence access on Willowind Place S.E. Closure is to accommodate paving.

NEW: Reduced northbound lane on 52 Street S.E. approaching 130 Avenue S.E. to 126 Avenue S.E. beginning on Monday, June 19 to Friday, June 23 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50 km/h through the construction zone. This closure accommodates utility work.

NEW: Reduced lane on northbound 52 Street S.E. at 17 Avenue S.E. from Monday, June 19 to Tuesday, June 20 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced westbound lane on 17 Avenue S.E. from 48 Street S.E. to 36 Street S.E. beginning on Monday, June 19 at 9 a.m. to Tuesday, June 20 at 5 a.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Road closures on Riverfront Avenue S.E. between 4 Street S.E. and just west of Reconciliation Bridge with access to Reconciliation Bridge also closed at 4 Street N.E. and Memorial Drive N.E. Closures will begin on Thursday, June 15 at 10 p.m. to Friday, June 16, at 6 a.m. Vehicle detours indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate street light removal.

Various reduced lanes eastbound on 5 Avenue S.E. between 1 Street S.E. and 4 Street S.E. and northbound on 3 Street S.E. at 5 Avenue S.E. on Thursday, June 15 from 10 p.m. to Friday, June 16 at 6 a.m. Full Road Closure on 5 Avenue between 3 Street S.E. and 4 Street S.E. for one hour at some point in this time frame. Police will be on site of the closure. Closure is to accommodate overhead sign structure removal. Use alternate route and expect delays.

Reduced northbound lane on 52 Street S.E. between New Brighton Drive S.E. and 130 Avenue S.E. beginning on Monday, June 12 to Friday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 17 to Sunday, June 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Speeds reduced through the construction zone. This closure accommodates utility work.

Various reduced lanes on westbound McKenzie Towne Boulevard S.E. and southbound Prestwick Boulevard S.E. at the traffic circle beginning on Thursday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 21 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The entrance to the community hall will remain open during the detour. This closure accommodates utility work.

17 Ave S.E. BRT Project

• 6 Avenue S.E. is closed between 5 Street S.E. and Confluence Way S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 24. This closure was originally scheduled to remain in place until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 and has been extended until Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. This closure is to accommodate utility work. Local access will be maintained. Detours will be indicated via signage and motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and use alternate routes.

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange Project

• The exit ramp from 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. to northbound Macleod Trail will be closed nightly from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. beginning on Wednesday, June 14 to Friday, June 16. Traffic will be detoured to Midlake Boulevard to access northbound Macleod Trail. This closure is to accommodate road paving.
• There will be various lane closures on northbound and southbound Shawville Boulevard S.E. at 162 Avenue S.E. from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 12 until Friday, June 16.
• There will be various lane closures on southbound Macleod Trail between Shawnessy Boulevard S.E. / Midlake Boulevard S.E. and 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 12 until Friday, June 16.
• There will be various lane closures on northbound Macleod Trail between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. and Shawnessy Boulevard S.E. / Midlake Boulevard S.E. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 12 until Friday, June 16.
• There will be various multiple lane closures on northbound and southbound Macleod Trail at 162 Avenue S.E from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly beginning on Monday, June 12 until Friday, June 16 to allow for paving work.
• There will be various lane closures on eastbound and westbound Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. at Macleod Trail and also east of Macleod Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning on Monday, June 12 until Friday, June 16.

Road closure at Willow Park Drive S.E. between Willowburn Crescent and Willowview Road S.E. starting Wednesday, May 31 at 7 a.m. until Friday, June 16 at 10 p.m. This closure accommodates sanitary utility upgrades. Please use alternate routes.

210 Avenue S.E. between Sheriff King Street and MacLeod Trail S.E. will be closed until Monday, July 31. This closure accommodates utility work. Please use alternate routes.

Southbound 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.E. will be closed until early July. Access to Lot 47 will be available at all times and can only be accessed from 9 Avenue S.E. Please use alternate routes and expect delays. This closure accommodates the 3 Street corridor improvement project.

Southwest

Reduced lanes at the following locations beginning on Monday, June 12 to Friday, June 16 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closures are to accommodate utility work.

• Southbound on 5 Street S.W. between 5 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W.
• Northbound on 6 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W.
• Westbound on 6 Avenue S.W. at 5 Street S.W.

Road and sidewalk closures on 1 Street S.W. between 10 Avenue S.W. and 12 Avenue S.W. beginning on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 a.m. originally scheduled until Saturday, June 10 at 7 p.m. has been extended until Saturday, June 17 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

Reduced southbound lane on 1 Street S.W. between 12 Avenue S.W. and 13 Avenue S.W. until Sunday, June 17 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates road construction.

1 Street S.W. between 10 Avenue and 17 Avenue S.W. will see various lane closures Saturday, June 10. Safe pedestrian access will be maintained and access to businesses and residents will be accommodated during construction. These closures accommodate 1 Street corridor improvement project.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

• Reduced lanes on 17 Avenue S.W. between 8 Street and 9 Street S.W. originally beginning on Wednesday, May 24 until Friday, June 2 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closures extended until Friday, June 16 with the inclusion of Saturday, June 10. This closure accommodates sidewalk removal and installation.
• 17 Avenue will be closed to traffic between Macleod Trail and Centre Street starting May 19. For more information on the 17 Avenue construction schedule visit Calgary.ca/17Avenue.
• 17 Avenue S.W. is closed between Macleod Trail S.E. and 1 Street S.E. During this closure, local business access will be maintained. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19.
