Northeast

NEW: Reduced lane eastbound on Memorial Drive N.E. between Edmonton Trail N.E. / 5 Street S.W. and 9 Street N.E. beginning on Friday, July 28 at 11 p.m. to Saturday, July 29 at 7 a.m. Speed will be reduced to 50 km/h through the work area. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes eastbound and westbound on Country Hills Boulevard N.E. between Metis Trail N.E. and 52 Street N.E. from Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds reduced to 50 km/h through the work area. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes northbound and southbound on Skyview Ranch Drive N.E. between Skyview Ranch Crescent N.E. and Skyview Springs Common N.E. beginning on Monday, July 31 at 7 a.m. to Friday, August 4 at 7 a.m. Pedestrian detours indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Reduced lane westbound on McKnight Boulevard N.E. west of 68 Street N.E. beginning on Monday, July 31 to Wednesday, August 2 daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Speed reduced to 50 km/h through work area. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lane eastbound on 16 Avenue N.E. between Barlow Trail N.E. and 36 Street N.E. beginning on Monday, July 31 to Wednesday, August 2 daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Speed reduced to 50 km/h through work area. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lane eastbound on 16 Avenue N.E. between 1 Street N.E. and 2 Street N.E. on Monday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. pedestrian detour indicated via signage. One bus stop will be affected by closure. Closure is to accommodate landscaping.

NEW: Reduced lanes northbound and southbound on 52 Street N.E. between Country Hills Boulevard N.E. and Skyview Parade N.E. beginning on Monday, July 31 at 8:30 to Saturday, August 5 at 6 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Various reduced lanes eastbound and westbound on 64 Avenue N.E. at 68 Street N.E. with reduced northbound/southbound lanes on 68 Street N.E. at this intersection. Work to begin on Wednesday, July 26 to Thursday, August 10 daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Closures are to accommodate utility work.

Reduced lane eastbound on Memorial Drive N.E. between 9 Street N.E. and 12 Street N.E. beginning on Tuesday, July 25 to Saturday, July 29 daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 60 km/h through work area with a flagman onsite. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Reduced lanes eastbound and westbound on Country Hills Boulevard N.E. between Metis Trail N.E. and 52 Street N.E. beginning on Monday, July 24 to Friday, July 28 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50 km/h through the work area. Closures are to accommodate construction.

Reduced lanes westbound Memorial Drive N.E. between 68 Street and Madigan Drive N.E. starting Monday, July 24 at 8:30 a.m. until Friday, August 4 at 3:30 p.m. Closure is to accommodate sidewalk installation.

Reduced lanes eastbound 16 Avenue at Edmonton Trail N.E. weekdays starting Thursday, July 13 until Friday, August 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This work accommodates construction.

Reduced lane northbound on 52 Street N.E. at Whitehorn Drive N.E. / Temple Drive N.E. beginning on Monday, July 10 to Friday, September 1 on weekdays only daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pedestrian detour will be indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Reduced lane northbound on 52 Street N.E. at Temple Drive N.E. / 44 Avenue N.E. beginning on Tuesday, July 4 to Wednesday, August 30 (subject to change) on weekdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Reduced northbound and southbound lanes on Falconridge Boulevard N.E. at Taradale Drive N.E. weekdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 P.M. beginning on Tuesday, June 27 to Thursday, September 7. Pedestrian detour indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate transit construction work.

Northwest

NEW: Road closure on Home Road N.W. at 19 Avenue N.W. /49 Street N.W. on Saturday, July 29 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Vehicle detours will be indicated via signage with flagger onsite to direct traffic. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes eastbound and westbound on 3 Avenue N.W. between 35 Street N.W. and 37 Street N.W. beginning on Friday, July 28 at 9 a.m. to Monday, July 31 at 5 a.m. 35A Street N.W. will be open for access at 3 Avenue N.W. during this closure. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

Road closure of right turn westbound lane at 16 Avenue N.W. onto 29 Street N.W. with reduced lanes northbound and southbound on 29 Street between 16 Avenue N.W. and Hospital Drive N.W. beginning on Wednesday, July 26 at 9 a.m. to Sunday, July 30 at 6 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50 km/h approaching the temporary southbound right turn at 16 Avenue N.W. onto 29 Street N.W. Police will be providing additional traffic control assistance to mitigate peak hour traffic issues. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

Reduced lanes eastbound and westbound on 16 Avenue N.W. between 46 Street N.W. and 49 Street N.W. beginning on Wednesday, July 26 to Monday, July 31 weekdays only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both left turn accesses from 16 Avenue N.W. onto Home Road N.W, will be restricted. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

The ramp from southbound Sarcee Trail N.W. to westbound 16 Avenue N.W. is closed beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 24. During this closure, traffic will be detoured to 69 Street N.W. This closure continues until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 7 and accommodates road construction.

16 Avenue N.W. at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. will see various lane closures until the end of October, 2017 as part of an intersection improvement project.

16 Ave NW / Bowfort Road Interchange Improvements

NEW: Reduced lanes northbound and southbound on Fairmount Drive S.E. at Southland Drive S.E. and proceeding north for 100 meters beginning on Friday, July 28 at 6 p.m. to Monday, July 31 at 5 a.m. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes northbound and southbound on Ogden Road S.E. between 78 Avenue S.E. and 80 Avenue S.E. beginning on Saturday, July 29 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, July 30 at 7 p.m. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Reduced lane southbound on 18 Street S.E. between Douglas Glen Boulevard S.E. and 24 Street S.E. on Monday, July 31 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50 km/h through the work area. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lane westbound on McKenzie Lake Boulevard S.E. from Mt. McKenzie Drive S.E. to Mountain Park Circle S.E. beginning on Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50 km/h through the construction zone. Pedestrian detour indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate utility work.

Reduced lane westbound on McKenzie Lake Boulevard S.E. from Mt. McKenzie Way S.E. to 100 meters east of Mt. McKenzie Drive S.E. beginning on Tuesday, July 25 to Friday, July 28 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50 km/h through the construction zone. This closure accommodates utility work.

Road closure on 4 Street S.E. at 58 Avenue S.E. with reduced lanes eastbound/westbound on 58 Street S.E. between 3 Street S.E. and 5 Street S.E. beginning on Friday, July 28 at 7 p.m. to Monday, July 31 at 5 a.m. 4 Street S.E. will remain open to local traffic only. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

Road closure on 6 Avenue S.E. between 5 Street S.E. and Confluence Way S.E. beginning on Monday, July 17 at 7 a.m. to Monday, July 31 at 7 p.m. Vehicle detour will be indicated via signage. Use alternate route and expect delays. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

Road closure on 4 Street S.E. between 58 Avenue S.E. and 60 Avenue S.E. beginning on Monday, July 17 at 8 a.m. to Friday, August 4 at 7 p.m. Access will be available to local traffic only. Vehicle detour indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

  • Glenmore Trail S.E. between 18 Street S.E. and Barlow Trail S.E. will be put into the ultimate mainline alignment beginning at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19. The access to eastbound Glenmore Trail S.E. will be closed from Ogden Road S.E. / 24 Street S.E. with traffic detoured to northbound Shepard Road S.E. via 86 Avenue S.E., to re-connect with eastbound Glenmore Trail S.E. on a temporary ramp connection. In addition, there will be no access to Glenmore Trail S.E. from 30 Street S.E. Traffic on 30 Street S.E. will be directed to Barlow Trail S.E. via 72 Avenue S.E. to connect with Glenmore Trail S.E. Glenmore Trail S.E. is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 50 km/h, that will remain in effect 24/7 for duration of interchange construction.

Road closure southbound on 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue S.E. and 7 Avenue S.E. with reduced northbound lanes beginning on Tuesday, June 20 at 12:00 a.m. until Friday, September 1 at 6 p.m. Vehicle and pedestrian detours indicated via signage. This closure accommodates construction.

17 Ave S.E. BRT Project

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange Project

  • There will be various lane single closures on southbound Macleod Trail S.E. between Shawnessy Boulevard S.E. / Midlake Boulevard S.E. and 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 24 to Friday, July 28.
  • There will be various single lane closures on northbound Macleod Trail S.E. between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. and Shawnessy Boulevard S.E. / Midlake Boulevard S.E. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on Monday, July 24 to Friday, July 28.
  • The will be various single lane closures on eastbound and westbound 162 Avenue S.E. between Macleod Trail S.E. and Shawnessy Boulevard S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, July 24 to Friday, July 28.
  • The two right lanes will be closed on southbound Macleod Trail S.E. at 162 Avenue S.E from 9 p.m. Friday, July 28 to 5 a.m. Saturday, July 29.
  • There will be various multiple lane closures on northbound and southbound Macleod Trail S.E. at 162 Avenue S.E from 9 p.m. Saturday, July 29 to 5 a.m. Sunday, July 30.
  • The right lane will be closed on northbound Macleod Trail S.E. at 162 Avenue S.E from 10 a.m. Friday, July 28 to 7 a.m. Sunday, July 30.

210 Avenue S.E. between Sheriff King Street and MacLeod Trail S.E. will be closed until Monday, July 31. This closure accommodates utility work. Please use alternate routes.

Southwest

NEW: Road closure on westbound Bow Trail S.W. between 14 Street S.W. and Pumphouse Road S.W. beginning on Saturday, July 29 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, July 30 at 7 p.m. Detours will include 4 Avenue S.W. or northbound/southbound 14 Street S.W. Closure is to accommodate paving.

NEW: Road closure on 7 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W. A cycle track closure will also extend to 8 Avenue S.W. Vehicle and bicycle detours will be indicated via signage with no pedestrian access. Closure will occur on Sunday, July 30 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is to accommodate a crane lift.

NEW: Reduced lanes on 5 Street S.W. between 7 Avenue S.W. and 8 Avenue S.W. beginning on Friday, July 28 to Wednesday, August 2 weeknights only from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Pedestrian access will be restricted along work area. Closure is to accommodate overhead plus fifteen work.

NEW: Reduced lane southbound on 8 Street S.W. between 15 Avenue S.W. and 17 Avenue S.W. on Saturday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes to a single lane on 12 Avenue S.W. between 12 Street S.W. and 13 Street S.W. on Saturday, July 29 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pedestrian detour indicated via signage. This closure accommodates a crane lift.

NEW: Reduced lane eastbound on 9 Avenue S.W. between 8 Street S.W. and 9 Street S.W. beginning on Monday, July 31 at 9 a.m. to Tuesday, August 1 at 7 p.m. Pedestrian detour will be indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate utility work.

Reduced lane southbound on 8 Street S.W. between 15 Avenue S.W. and 17 Avenue S.W. beginning on Monday, July 17 to Friday, July 28 weekdays daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The west side back lane will also be closed at 8 Street S.W. This closure accommodates construction work.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

  • Road closure on 17 Avenue S.E. between 1 Street S.E. and Macleod Trail S.E. beginning on Monday, July 17 at 7 a.m. to Tuesday, August 8 at 7 p.m. Access will be open to local traffic only. Vehicle detours will be indicated via signage.
  • Road closure on 17 Avenue S.E. between Centre Street S.E. and 1 Street S.E. beginning on Monday, July 17 at 7 a.m. to Monday, August 14 at 7 p.m. Access will be open to local traffic only. Vehicle detours will be indicated via signage.
  • Road closure on 17 Avenue S.E. between 1 Street S.W. and Centre Street S.E. beginning on Monday, July 17 at 7 a.m. to Sunday, October 1 at 7 p.m. Access will be open to local traffic only. Vehicle detours will be indicated via signage.
  • 17 Avenue will be closed to traffic between Macleod Trail and Centre Street starting May 19.

Kensington Diagon Alley – Sunday July 30 – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Kensington Road will be closed between 12 Street N.W. and 10 Street N.W.
  • 10 Street N.W. will be closed between Memorial Drive and Gladstone Road N.W.
    • There will be no access to 10 Street from 2 Avenue or 3 Avenue N.W.
  • 10A Street N.W. is closed at Memorial Drive N.W.
