Calgary road closures - January 6, 2015

Northwest

Eastbound 16 Avenue N.W. will be reduced to two lanes at 2 Street N.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Tuesday, January 6 to Friday, January 9 due to sign installation.

Southeast

NEW: Northbound 52 Street S.E. will be reduced to one lane at 23 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until Friday, January 9 due to traffic signal work.

9 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 13 Street S.E. until Friday, January, 9 due to a watermain repair.

Eastbound 12 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane at Macleod Trail until Friday, January 9 at 6 p.m.

The west sidewalk of 3 Street S.E. between 7 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. is closed for construction until February 2015.

3 Street S.E. will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 6 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until the end of January 2015. The sidewalk will also be closed during this time.

 Single lane closures will continue on Glenmore Trail west of 18 Street SE until mid-January, to allow for the City of Calgary’s Water Services’ water main upgrade project- under the Graves Bridge on Glenmore Trail over the Bow River. Glenmore Trail is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 60 km/h that will remain in effect 24/7 until project is completed.

4 Street S.E. is closed between 9 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. until the end of January 2015.  This closure is needed to facilitate the construction of the +60 pedestrian bridge at the National Music Centre.

Southwest

NEW: 50 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 1 Street S.W. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7 due to emergency utility work.
