Calgary road closures - January 28, 2015

Northeast

Eastbound 32 Avenue N.E. will be reduced to one lane between 2 Street N.E. and 27 Street N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Wednesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 29 due to utility work.

Northwest

Eastbound 16 Avenue N.W. will be reduced to one lane east of Sarcee Trail from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily on weekdays until January 30 due to utility work.

Southeast

Confluence Way will be closed between Riverfront Avenue and 6 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28 to 3 p.m. on Friday, January 30 due to building construction.

There will be various lane closures on 12 Avenue S.E. between Olympic Way and 6 Street S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily from Wednesday, January 28 to Friday, January 30 due to construction.

1 Street S.E. will be reduced to one lane between 9 Avenue S.E. and 10 Avenue S.E. from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28 to 6 a.m. on Thursday, January 29 due to utility work.

There will be lane restrictions on Bonnybrook Bridge until the end of January due to utility work. More details on when the restrictions will be lifted will be provided as they become available.

The west sidewalk of 3 Street S.E. between 7 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. is closed for construction until February 2015.

3 Street S.E. will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 6 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until the end of January 2015. The sidewalk will also be closed during this time.

 Single lane closures will continue on Glenmore Trail west of 18 Street SE until the end of January, to allow for the City of Calgary’s Water Services’ water main upgrade project- under the Graves Bridge on Glenmore Trail over the Bow River. Glenmore Trail is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 60 km/h that will remain in effect 24/7 until project is completed.

4 Street S.E. is closed between 9 Avenue S.E. and 8 Avenue S.E. until the end of January 2015.  This closure is needed to facilitate the construction of the +60 pedestrian bridge at the National Music Centre.

Southwest

Southbound 1 Street S.W. will be reduced to one lane between 9 Avenue S.W. and 10 Avenue S.W. starting Sunday, January 25 to accommodate the 1 Street S.W. underpass enhancement project. At the same time the sidewalk on southbound 1 Street S.W. will be closed. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the east side of 1 Street S.W. These closures will be in place until the work on the west side of the underpass is complete.
