Calgary road closures - January 21, 2014

Northwest

28 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 2 Street N.W. and 4 Street N.W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from Tuesday, January 21 to Wednesday, January 22 due to utility work.

Northeast

The right lane on westbound Memorial Drive will be closed at Zoo Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Friday, January 17 to Thursday, January 23 due to construction.

Southwest

2 Street S.W. will be closed between 13 Avenue S.W. and 14 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, January 20 to Wednesday, January 29 due to utility work.

8 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 4 Street S.W. and 5 Street S.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, January 24 to 5 a.m. on Monday, January 27 due to building construction.

9 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane between 4 Street S.W. and 5 Street S.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, January 24 to 5 a.m. on Monday, January 27 due to building construction.

Southeast

Blackfoot Trail will have the speed limit reduced to 60 km/h at 53 Avenue S.E. from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 8 to due to construction. There will be continued stages of construction along 53 Avenue S.E. between Blackfoot Trail and 2 Street S.E during the months of January and February due to utility work.

Eastbound 17 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane between 19 Street S.E. and Deerfoot Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, January 20 to Friday, January 24.

The left lane of eastbound Memorial Drive will be closed at Barlow Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, January 13 to Friday, January 24 due to construction.

The left lane on westbound Memorial Drive will be closed at 28 Street S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, January 13 to Friday, January 24 due to construction.

There will be various lane closures on 53 Avenue between 4 Street S.E. and 6 Street S.E.  At this time 53 Avenue will be reduced to one lane and workers will be directing traffic through alternating westbound and eastbound lane closures from Thursday, January 9 to Saturday, January 25 due to utility work.

The right lane on 1 Street S.E. will be closed between 17 Avenue S.E. and 18 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, January 20 to Friday, January 24 due to building construction.

5 Street S.E. between 51 Avenue and 53 Avenue S.E. will be closed from 8 a.m. Monday, January 20 to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 25 due to utility work. Traffic will be detoured to 4 Street S.E. to bypass the construction. Local business access will be maintained.
