Unplanned work

NEW: Reduced lanes on 16 Avenue N.W. at 44 Street N.W. beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 19 for emergency water main repair. This closure is expected to last until 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 19. Use alternate routes, expect delays in the area.

Northeast

NEW: Southbound Centre Street is reduced to a single lane between 32 Avenue N.E. and 31 Avenue N.E. from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20 for utility work.

NEW: 26 Avenue N.E. is closed between 36 Street and Rundleson Road N.E beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 20. This closure remains in place until 5 a.m. on Monday, January 23 and accommodates utility installation. Traffic will be detoured to 25 Avenue N.E. via signage.

NEW: 4 Street N.E. will have reduced lanes between Meredith Road N.E. and Memorial Drive N.E. from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 for crane operations.

NEW: The right lane of northbound Edmonton Trail N.E. is closed at 6 Street N.E. beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, January 21. This closure remains in place until 5 a.m. on Monday, January 23 and accommodates utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes on Saddletown Circle N.E. at Martindale Drive N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, January 23 for utility work.

NEW: Various lane closures at Country Hills Boulevard N.E. and Harvest Hills Gate N.E. daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, January 23 and Tuesday, January 24 for utility work.

Northwest

NEW: Bowness Road N.W. is closed between 44 Street and 45 Street N.W. beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 20. This closure will remain in place until 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 22 and accommodates utility work. Traffic will be detoured via signage, use alternate routes.

Northbound Crowchild Trail will be reduced to a single lane between Bow Trail S.W. and Memorial Drive N.W. nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18. This closure repeats nightly during these hours on Friday, January 19. This closure accommodates bridge work.

Southeast

NEW: 9 Avenue S.E. is closed between 12 Street S.E. and 13 Street S.E. beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 20. This closure remains in place until 6 a.m. on Saturday, January 21 and accommodates filming.

NEW: There will be no access to southbound Ogden Road S.E. at Blackfoot Trail S.E. beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, January 21. This closure continues until 5 a.m. on Monday, January 23 and accommodates utility work. Alternate routes are recommended.

NEW: The right lane of westbound 58 Avenue S.E. is closed at 4 Street S.E. from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 for water services utility work.

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange project

  • There will be various lane closures on southbound Macleod Trail between Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard and 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, January 16 until Friday, January 20.
  • There will be various lane closures on northbound Macleod Trail between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard and Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily on Monday, January 16 until Friday, January 20.

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

  • The Shepard Road access south of Glenmore is closed. There will be a new access created at 24 Street S.E. south of Glenmore Trail, west of the existing Shepard Road alignment. Traffic requiring to access Shepard Road south of Glenmore Trial will be detoured via the new 24 Street S.E. exit and then along 86 Avenue S.E. to reconnect with Shepard Road. There will be limited business access north of 86 Avenue S.E. on Shepard Road after detour in place. In addition, the eastbound lanes on Glenmore Trail will be re-aligned into the next stage of construction. The eastbound and westbound lanes will be separated with two new intersections created. Ogden Road will have some alignment shifts north of Glenmore Trail to accommodate these traffic changes.

Southwest

NEW: Lane reductions on 4 Avenue S.W. between 3 Street and 4 Street S.W. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 and Sunday, January 22 for construction.

NEW: 11 Street S.W. is reduced to a single lane in each direction at 10 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, January 23 and Tuesday, January 24 for utility work.

NEW: The right lane of northbound 8 Street S.W. is closed from 8 Avenue to 10 Avenue S.W. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 23. This closure continues until 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 5 and accommodates construction.

The right lane and adjacent cycle track on 5 Street S.W. between 7 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.W. is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, January 11. Cycle track traffic will be diverted to the closed traffic lane. This closure continues daily during these hours until 3 p.m. on Friday, March 10 and accommodates utility work.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

  • NEW: The right lane of westbound 17 Avenue S.W. is closed between 1 Street S.W. and 2 Street S.W. from 7 a.m. on to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 23.
  • NEW: Various lane restrictions at 17 Avenue S.W. and 4 Street S.W. from 0 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, January 20. This closure also occurs from 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 21 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 22.
  • The right lane of westbound 17 Avenue S.W. is closed at Centre Street S from 7 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 20.
  • 17 Avenue S.W. is reduced to a single lane in each direction between Centre Street South and 1 Street S.E. through 7 p.m. on Friday, February 3.
  • 17 Avenue S.W. is reduced to a single lane in each direction between 5 Street and 6 Street S.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4. This closure is expected to continue until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25.
