Calgary road closures - January 10, 2014

Northwest

Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 5A Street N.W. from 7 p.m. on Friday, January 10 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, January 12 due to construction. 

Eastbound Crowchild Trail will be reduced to one lane at 53 Street N.W. on Sunday, January 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to Calgary Transit construction.

Southwest

Shawnee Drive will be closed west of 6 Street S.W. from 8 a.m. on Friday, January 10 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 11 due to utility work.

5 Street S.W. will be closed between 2 Avenue S.W. and 3 Avenue S.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, January 10 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 12 due to building construction.

Southeast

Seton Boulevard S.E. will be closed between Auburn Bay Street S.E. and Auburn Bay Link S.E. daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Thursday, January 9 to Tuesday, January 14 due to utility work.

There will be various lane closures on 53 Avenue between 4 Street S.E. and 6 Street S.E.  At this time 53 Avenue will be reduced to one lane and workers will be directing traffic through alternating westbound and eastbound lane closures from Thursday, January 9 to Saturday, January 25 due to utility work.

Southbound Macleod Trail will be reduced to three lanes at 13 Avenue S.E. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Tuesday, January 7 to Friday, January 10 and Monday, January 13 due to utility work.

The exit ramp from eastbound Peigan Trail to southbound 52 Street S.E. will be closed from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 11 to allow for utility work related to the Peigan Trail extension project. The right lane on southbound 52 Street S.E. will also be closed at this time. This intersection is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit that will remain in effect 24/7 due to construction activities close to roadway.

There will be various lane closures at 52 Street S.E. and 50 Avenue S.E. on Tuesday, January 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to traffic signal work. Police will be on site to direct traffic.

Westbound 76 Avenue S.E. will be closed between 48 Street S.E. and 51 Street S.E. from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14 to 6 p.m. on to 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 16 due to utility work.
