Calgary road closures - December 31, 2013
Northwest
Bowness Road will be closed between 46 Street N.W. and 47 Street N.W. until Thursday, January 2 at 6 p.m. due to a water main break.
Southwest
38 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 13A Street S.W. and 14 Street S.W. until Thursday, December 2 due to a water main break.
Southeast
The parking lane on 6 Avenue S.E. will be closed between Macleod trail and 1 Street S.E. from 6 pm. To 6 a.m. nightly from Friday, January 3 to Monday, January 6 due to building construction.
Special Events
36th Annual Mac’s Midget International Hockey Tournament
The Max Bell Arena entrance and exit will be limited to right-in and right-out traffic onto Barlow Trail S.W. from Thursday, December 26 to Wednesday, January 1. This is to facilitate traffic flow.
27th Annual Lion’s Festival of Lights
14 Street N.W. between 24 Avenue N.W. and Rosehill Drive N.W. will have slow moving traffic nightly until Wednesday, January 8. Motorists should use extra care, be aware of pedestrians and reduce their speed in this area.
