Calgary road closures - December 3, 2013
Northwest
14 Street N.W. is reduced to one lane in each direction between Kensington Road and 2 Avenue N.W. to accommodate repairs for a water main break.
Eastbound Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane between 9 Street N.W. and 5A Street N.W. from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly until Friday, December 6 for utility work.
22 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 18 Street N.W. and 19 Street N.W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily on Monday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 3 for utility work.
Southwest
Southbound Macleod Trail will be reduced to two lanes at 58 Avenue S.W. beginning Tuesday, December 3 at 8 p.m. to Wednesday, December 4 at 6 a.m. for building construction.
4 Street S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 21 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning Wednesday, December 4 until Friday, December 6 for utility work.
Special Events
CP Holiday Train
The CP Holiday train will be at Anderson CTrain Station on Saturday, December 7 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Parking in the area will be limited and the Calgary Police Service will be on site directing traffic at Macleod Trail and 109 Avenue S.E.
26th Annual Festival of Lights
14 Street N.W. between 24 Avenue N.W. and Rosehill Drive N.W. will have slow moving traffic nightly until Wednesday, January 8. Motorists should use extra care, be aware of pedestrians and reduce their speed in this area.
Calgary Interfaith Food Bank
Northbound 11 Street S.E. between 46 Avenue S.E. and Highfield Drive S.E. will be reduced by one lane from Monday, December 2 until Monday, December 23 to accommodate extra parking.
