Calgary road closures - December 23, 2013
Northwest
Eastbound Crowchild Trail will be reduced to one lane at 53 Street N.W. on Sunday, December 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to construction.
Northeast
26 Avenue N.E. will be closed between 52 Street N.E. and 56 Street N.E. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from Friday, December 27 to Monday, December 30 due to utility work.
Special Events
36th Annual Mac’s Midget International Hockey Tournament
The Max Bell Arena entrance and exit will be limited to right-in and right-out traffic onto Barlow Trail S.W. from Thursday, December 26 to Wednesday, January 1. This is to facilitate traffic flow.
27th Annual Lion’s Festival of Lights
14 Street N.W. between 24 Avenue N.W. and Rosehill Drive N.W. will have slow moving traffic nightly until Wednesday, January 8. Motorists should use extra care, be aware of pedestrians and reduce their speed in this area.
Holiday Closures
Lane reversals on Memorial Drive will not be operating from Tuesday, December 24 to Thursday, December 26.
Lane reversals on 5 Avenue S.W. will not be operating from Wednesday, December 25 and Thursday, December 26.
