Calgary road closures - December 18, 2013
Southwest
31 Street S.W. will be closed between 19 Avenue S.W. and 21 Avenue S.W. from 7a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from Friday, December 20 to Saturday, December 21 due to utility work.
2 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 5 Street S.W. and 6 Street S.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, December 20 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 22 due to building construction.
3 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 5 Street S.W. and 6 Street S.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, December 20 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 22 due to building construction.
Southeast
Olympic Way S.E. will be reduced to one lane at 11 Avenue S.E. on Friday, December 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. due to building construction.
Southbound Blackfoot Trail will be reduced to one lane at Heritage Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 19 to allow for utility repair at the 85 Avenue S.E. connection to Blackfoot Trail. Speed will be reduced to 60 km/h at this time.
The left lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Blackfoot Trail at the bridge over Glenmore Trail from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, December 19 to allow for work related to the Blackfoot Trail Bridge re-hab project. Blackfoot Trail is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 50 km/h that will remain in effect 24/7 due to construction.

27th Annual Lion’s Festival of Lights
14 Street N.W. between 24 Avenue N.W. and Rosehill Drive N.W. will have slow moving traffic nightly until Wednesday, January 8. Motorists should use extra care, be aware of pedestrians and reduce their speed in this area.
Calgary Interfaith Food Bank
Northbound 11 Street S.E. between 46 Avenue S.E. and Highfield Drive S.E. will be reduced by one lane from Monday, December 2 until Monday, December 23 to accommodate extra parking.
