Calgary road closures - April11, 2014

Northeast

NEW: McKnight Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 12 Street N.E. and 19 Street N.E. from 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 to 5 a.m. on Monday, April 14 due to pothole repair.

The right lane on northbound 56 Street N.E. will be closed at 28 Avenue N.E. from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily until Wednesday, April 16 due to utility work.

Northwest

NEW: Kensington Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 21 Street N.W. to 22 Street N.W. from 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 due to utility work.

NEW: Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 9A Street N.W. from 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 due to utility work.

20 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 7 Street N.W. and 8 Street N.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, April 11 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 due to utility work.

24 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 18 Street N.W. and 19 Street N.W. from 9 a.m. on Friday, April 11 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 due to utility work.

Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Crowchild Trail and 16 Street N.W. until Thursday, May 15 due to riverbank restoration. On weekdays lane restrictions will be in effect daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on weekends daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Southeast

NEW: The right lane on southbound Macleod Trail will be closed south of 86 Avenue S.E. from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 due to building construction. Speed will be reduced to 50 km/h at this time.

NEW: The two right lanes on 11 Avenue S.E. will be closed between Macleod Trail and 3 Street S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 14 due to utility work

NEW: 10 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Macleod Trail and 3 Street S.E. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18 due to utility work.

There will be various lane closures at 19 Avenue S.E. and 44 Street S.E. until 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12 due to a water main break. Local access will be maintained but motorists are advised to avoid the area and follow detours.

The speed on Blackfoot Trail will be reduced to 60 km/h at 53 Avenue S.E. until mid-April due to construction. In addition, there will be continued stages of construction along 53 Avenue S.E. between Blackfoot Trail and 2 Street S.E until mid-April due to utility work.

Southwest

17 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Richmond Road from 5 a.m. on Friday, April 11 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 due to emergency utility work.

2 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 2 Street and 3 Street S.W. from Sunday, April 6 at 6 p.m. until July 3 at 6 p.m.

The left lane and sidewalk are closed on 11 Avenue S.W. between 11 Street S.W. and 12 Street S.W. until Tuesday, September 30 due to building construction.

The right lane on 5 Avenue S.W. will be closed between Centre Street and 1 Street S.W. until Wednesday, April 30. During morning and evening peak hours this lane will be used for pedestrians while work is being done on the sidewalk.
