Wanted on Warrants Following Public Appeal For Information

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to locate a man wanted on warrants for a series of commercial break and enters.

In early September 2014, a press release was issued requesting public assistance for information about a man believed to be linked to numerous occurrences of commercial property break and enter and thefts across the city dating back to 2010. Many of the incidents involved the culprit(s) breaking into a store within a strip mall and accessing neighbouring businesses by smashing through drywall.

As a result of that release and information provided by the public, a person of interest was identified.

Robert Kelly WELLINGFORD, also known as Robert Keith MCLAUGHLIN, 53, is currently wanted on warrants in connection to 10 occurrences of break and enter and theft. He is described as Caucasian, 6’1” tall, weighing approximately 225 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He also walks with a slight limp.

Photos of WELLINGFORD can be found on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
