Wanted man apprehended in northwest Calgary

Following an extensive investigation by several units of the Calgary Police Service, a man wanted on warrants has been taken into custody in the northwest.

On Thursday, March 7, 2013, at approximately 5 p.m., the Tactical Unit arrested a man outside an apartment building in the 4400 block of 4 Street N.W.

Michael George DELDAY, 24, was arrested on four outstanding warrants for house break and enter, assault, criminal harassment and uttering threats.

As a result of a search warrant executed following the arrest, DELDAY is also charged with several weapons-related offences including unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of body armour without a valid permit.

Another man was also arrested by police outside the residence.

Kai Errol Horst KELLER, 20, of Calgary, is charged with failing to comply with a probation order and several-weapons-related offences including unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of body armour without a valid permit.

The investigation also led the arrest of a woman on Friday, March 8, 2013.

Emily Yunen Yen FU, 22, of Calgary, is also charged with several-weapons-related offences including unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of body armour without a valid permit.

All three made their first court appearance this morning, Monday, March 11, 2013. DELDAY and KELLER have been remanded into custody while FU was released on bail.

Seeking Public Assistance - Man Wanted on Warrants

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent home invasion, as well as an incident that involved harassment and threats.

On Wednesday, May 30, 2012, three people broke into a home in the 1800 block of 40 Street S.E. One man who was inside the home at the time was assaulted by one of the suspects, while the other two culprits went to the basement and ransacked a bedroom. The men then left the area in a dark blue or purple, two-door Honda Accord.

It’s believed one of the suspects in the home invasion is also connected to an incident on Thursday, April 26, 2012, where a man was threatened with a handgun near a business in the 300 block of 16 Avenue N.E.

Investigators are seeking Michael George DELDAY, 23, of no fixed address. DELDAY is wanted on warrants for house break and enter, assault, criminal harassment and uttering threats.

He is Caucasian, 6’ tall, 189 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. On his left forearm he has a tattoo of the words “money, power, respect.”

DELDAY is presently considered to be a threat to public safety and extreme caution should be utilized when dealing with him. He is considered to be violent, armed, dangerous and is known to the CPS Gang Enforcement Team.

He has been known to travel to British Columbia’s Lower Mainland, but is believed to still be in the Calgary area.

The public is urged to not engage with DELDAY should his whereabouts be known, but rather contact the Calgary Police Service immediately.
