Victim identified in fatal hit-and-run
The Calgary Police Service is confirming the identity of a man killed in a fatal hit-and-run collision yesterday, Monday, July 7, 2014.
Eliah McEdwards, 20, of Calgary was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers continue to search for a dark blue vehicle with substantial front-end damage.

The Calgary Police Service is investigating an early morning fatal hit-and-run.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning, Monday, July 7, 2014, a vehicle was traveling westbound on 16 Avenue, exiting onto the Barlow Trail South off ramp, when it struck a pedestrian before swerving onto the grass median to the left of the off ramp. It then returned onto westbound 16 Avenue, driving away from the scene.
The pedestrian, a 20-year-old male received a fatal head injury and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At 7:50 a.m. police located a Hyundai Santa Fe in the 2400 block of Vermilion Street N.E., and are determining if it is connected to the collision.
Investigators are looking for a dark blue vehicle with substantial front-end damage.
