Vehicle Collision with C-Train
On Janaury 15, 2013 at 6:13 pm a SUV was northbound on Macleod Trail S when the driver went through a red light and collided with the C-Train. The vehicle was caught between two C-Train cars with the majority of damage sustained on the passenger side of the vehicle.
The Calgary Fire Department had to extricate the female passenger from the vehicle.
The male driver did not sustain any injuries and the female passenger was transported to hospital with serious injures.
One female passenger of the lead C-Train car was seen by paramedics, but she was not transported to hopsital.
There is no indication that speed or alcohol were factors in this collision. Charges are likely against the driver of the SUV under the Traffic Safety Act.
