UPDATE Vehicle VS Pedestrian Collision 6700 Block of Centre ST North

On Saturday March 23 at 12:21PM EMS and Calgary Police received a call about two pedestrians being struck by a vehicle while sitting at bus stop bench.

A 2005 Honda was southbound in the 6700 block of Centre ST North when it was cut off by a 1998 Ford van causing the driver of the Honda to swerve to his right, where he mounted the curb and struck the young couple as they sat on the bus bench.

A 21 year old male and a 20 year old female both suffered serious leg injuries amongst other injuries. Both patients were transported to the Foothills Hospital in serious condition. The Calgary Police traffic section is investigating this collision.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
