Update - Seeking public assistance in sexual assault investigation

After receiving numerous tips from the public, Calgary Police Service has identified a man in the CCTV images released on Monday, October 21 in relation to a sexual assault incident and can confirm that he had no involvement in the case.

The Calgary Police Service would like to thank the public and this individual for their response to this matter.  

The Service continues to investigate this incident that took place on Monday, May 21, 2013. At approximately 8:30 pm., a woman was working at a Fabutan studio located at #299, 5005 Dalhousie Dr. N.W. The suspect entered the studio and asked for the key to the washroom. He returned a short time later and then left.

When the victim closed the salon and locked the doors at 9 p.m., she entered the stairwell and was confronted by the suspect. She was subsequently physically and sexually assaulted. The victim was able to fight back and escaped.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 30 and 35 years old, approximately 5’ 9” tall with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt with black lettering, jeans, and white shoes.
