Undetermined Death Investigation

The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate the undetermined death of a man found deceased in a gravel storage facility earlier this week.

At approximately 4:13 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, employees of the gravel storage facility located the body of a man at their facility in the area of Peigan and Deerfoot Trail.

Following an autopsy completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner yesterday, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, the man has been identified as Troy Michael RAWCLIFFE, 46. The manner of death is still undetermined at this time and the cause of death is being withheld pending further investigation.

The specific date of Mr. RAWCLIFFE’S death has yet to be determined. Investigators are asking anyone who may have information about Mr. RAWCLIFFE’s movements in the past weeks or months, or may have seen him in the area, to call police or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
