Toy Angels campaign kicks off with Encana Family Event

The Calgary Police Service is teaming up with Encana Corporation, Lite 95.9 and the Salvation Army for Toy Angels, Calgary’s largest toy drive that collects and distributes toys to less fortunate families during the holiday season.

Calgarians are invited to attend the Encana Family Event in support of Toy Angels taking place on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at the CPS Westwinds Campus located at 5111 - 47 Street N.E. 

Bring the whole family and a new unwrapped toy for donation, to a fun filled afternoon with food trucks, face painting, arts and crafts, Christmas carolers as well as CPS displays from many units including YouthLink, K-9, TAC, Traffic, Mounted Unit, and Public Safety Unit.

What: Encana Family Event in support of Toy Angels

When: Saturday, November 16, 2013 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where: Calgary Police Service Westwinds Campus, 5111 – 47 Street N.E.

The Toy Angels campaign runs until December 20, allowing you to drop off new unwrapped toys at all district offices, mall and community stations, the Traffic Section office, and Westwinds Campus.

Other drop-off locations include Lite 95.9, Bankers Hall, Marlborough Mall, Westbrook Mall, IKEA, North Hill Centre and Fabricland.

During last year’s campaign, 36,000 toys and $6,600 in gift cards were collected. This year we hope to break this record as demand continues to increase.
