Three Men Charged with Sexual Assault

The Calgary Police Service has charged three men in connection with a 2014 sexual assault on a teenager.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2014, the then 14-year-old girl was hanging out with three male acquaintances at a southeast home, when she was led into a room of the house and allegedly sexually assaulted by each of the men at separate times.

The assault allegations were brought forward to police in August of 2014, and an investigation began to determine who the offenders were. Over several months, detectives worked to identify the suspects and last week, arrested three men.

Charges of sexual assault, sexual interference with a child under 16 and invitation to sexual touching have been laid against Abas Ahmed IBRAHIM, also known as Maxboy or Moe, 22, Omar KROMAH, also known as Nef, 21, and Zakariya Mohamed ABDOW, also known as Slickthug or Slimthug, 24, all of Calgary.

Investigators are asking anyone who has information about this case, or who has had contact with the accused to call police. Anyone who has had sexual contact with the three men is urged to contact a doctor and seek testing for sexually transmitted infections.
