Third Man Charged in Connection with AHMED Homicide

A third man has officially been charged in connection with the murder of Maqsood AHMED.

Matthew Daniel FOREST, 21, of Calgary, is charged with robbery, accessory after the fact to robbery, and accessory after the fact to murder.

Jean Bertrand HAVYARIMANA, 19, of no fixed address in Calgary, turned himself in to police on Monday, July 13, 2015. He is charged with robbery and second-degree murder. Lloyd KOLLIE, 19, is also charged with robbery and second-degree murder.

At approximately 9:40 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, AHMED and a female co-worker were closing up a business in the 4700 block of Westwinds Drive N.E. AHMED was peaving on foot with cash and receipts when he was approached and attacked by two men. He was robbed of his cash and stabbed.

AHMED, 55, was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The woman, an employee of the company was uninjured.

This investigation is ongoing.
