Suspicious person incident

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a man who approached a teen in the southeast.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., on Thursday, Mar. 13, 2014, a 17 year-old female was walking to school along 26 Avenue and 44 Street S.E. when she was approached by a man who asked to take a picture of her. The girl attempted to cover her face with her coat and walked away. The suspect continued to follow her and ask inappropriate questions.

The victim used her cell phone to call for help and was able to arrange for a ride to school.

The man is described as Caucasian, 40 to 50 years-old, with brown shaggy hair, brown chipped teeth, and walks with a limp. He was wearing a brown long-sleeved shirt with dark pants, and a gray baseball cap.
