Suspicious Man Spotted Near School

The Calgary Police Service is investigating several reports of a suspicious man who has been spotted by a southwest school in recent weeks.

Since Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, the man has been seen on two other occasions – Thursday, Jan. 31 and Friday, Feb. 1 – near the Glenmore Christian Academy, 16520 24 St. S.W., during lunchtime.

At no point has the man made contact with any of the school’s students, however, his behaviour is unusual and suspicious.

Officers from District 8 are working closely with officials from the school and are seeking public assistance in identifying the man in order to determine his motives. Police have also increased patrols in the area.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 40 years old, 5’10” tall, with a slim build. He has a scruffy appearance with grey hair and beard, and has been seen wearing orange work boots and a black baggy coat.
