Stabbing Incident in Southwest Calgary

Calgary police are in the process of investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in southwest Calgary just before noon today.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., this morning, Friday, March 8, 2013, in the 200 block of Canterbury Drive S.W., a young man was stabbed in the stomach by another young man. EMS responded to the scene and at this point, the victim’s injuries appear to be minor in nature.

As this incident took place near Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School, the school has been locked down as a precautionary measure.

Police believe they know the identity of the offender and are currently in the area looking for this suspect.
