Stabbing Incident

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a stabbing incident in the northeast.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., emergency crews were called to the 900 block of 36 Street N.E.., after reports a man was in serious medical distress. It’s believed the victim was stabbed after a seemingly unprovoked attack by two men who confronted him as he walked on an overpass.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. He has been stabilized.

Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from cameras stationed nearby to the incident. A description of the offenders will be released once confirmed by detectives.
