Serious Vehicle Collision

On 2015/05/27 at approximately 10:40PM hours a serious vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 14th St Sw and 10th Ave.  A Kawasaki ER650 Motorcycle was travelling northbound on 14th St approaching 10th Ave.  The lone 36yr old female rider failed to stop at a red light and struck the side of a Chevrolet Uplander, which was proceeding eastbound on a Green light.   The rider was transported to the Foothills Medical Centre with multiple limb fractures and serious head and neck trauma.  The rider is listed in serious and potentially life threatening condition.  The rider was wearing a helmet and speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the Collison.  The occupants of the Chevrolet Uplander were not injured.  The Calgary Police Traffic Section is investigating the collision.
