Serious injury collision

The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate an early morning collision.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2015, a white Acura was traveling east on McKnight Blvd. N.E. between Barlow Trail and Metis Trail, when it lost control and struck the centre concrete divider.

The driver of the Acura, a 20-year-old female, was taken to hospital where she remains in life threatening condition.  

The 19-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.

Speed is considered a factor in this collision. At this time alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
