Serious Injury Collision

On Sunday, March 15th, 2015 at approximately 2055 hours, a serious injury motor vehicle collision occurred on 52 Street at 8th Avenue S.E.

A maroon Chevrolet Astro van was traveling north on 52 street at 8th avenue S.E.  The Chevrolet Astro van failed to stop for a red light and then struck a white Ford F-150 that was heading west on  8th avenue. The impact caused the Ford F150 to strike a silver Chevrolet Cobalt, which was stopped facing south on 52 Street.

The 35 year old male driver and the 36 year old female passenger of the Chevrolet Astro van were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The 61 year old driver and lone occupant of the Ford F150 was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The 71 year old driver and lone occupant of the Chevrolet Cobalt was checked and released by EMS at the scene.

Alcohol and speed is considered a factor in this collision.
