Seeking Public Assistance

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in locating two men wanted in connection with a violent kidnapping and extortion.

At approximately 3 a.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, police responded to a call in the 100 block of St. Moritz Drive S.W. A woman at the location alleged a family member had been kidnapped and was being held in exchange for money.

When police arrived at the home, the male victim had just been returned and officers were able to take one person into custody. Two other men were able to flee the area and are now wanted on outstanding warrants.

Canada-wide warrants have been issued for Tusif Ur Rehman CHHINA, 30, and Mohamed Abdi YUSUF, 23, in relation to this incident.

YUSUF is originally from Etobicoke, Ontario, 6’3” tall, and 180 pounds with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair. He also goes by the alias of Frankie.

CHHINA, who also goes by the alias of Raheem, is 5’9” tall, and 130 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes, balding black hair and a scar on his forehead.
