Seeking public assistance in relation to early morning stabbing

At approximately 6:30 a.m., this morning, Sunday, March 17, 2013, police responded to reports of a stabbing in the vicinity of 4 St. S.E. and Dermot Baldwin Way, near the Calgary Drop-In Centre.
 
Upon arriving at the scene, they found an unconscious man suffering from stab wounds. The man was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. He was later declared deceased by hospital staff.
 
No further details will be available in relation to this incident until an autopsy has been completed on the victim. This is scheduled to happen sometime tomorrow.
