Seeking public assistance – theft of coin collection

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance related to the theft of a coin collection and other personal property from a home in northwest Calgary.

Sometime between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., on Thursday, August 6, 2015, an unknown offender(s) gained entry into a home located in the 6000 block of Silver Springs Crescent N.W. A number of items were taken from the home including cash, purses, and jewelry, along with a substantial coin collection.

The coins are from Great Britain, South Africa, the United States and other countries around the world.
