Seeking public assistance – convenience store robberies

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in solving a series of convenience store robberies that have taken place over the past six weeks.

Between March 12 and March 18, 2013, five separate MAC’s Convenience stores were robbed. To date, there have been 19 convenience store robberies in Calgary this year.

One additional incident that could also be related involved a MAC’s store being robbed on February 17, 2013. These robberies took place in all quadrants of the city.

During each of these incidents, up to three offenders entered the stores and behaved in a very aggressive manner when dealing with the staff. Each time, a handgun was produced and money and cigarettes were taken.

The suspects in these incidents are described as all being Caucasian males between 25 and 30 years-of-age, 5’8” to 6’ tall with medium builds. There were all wearing dark hoodies and gloves and had their faces covered. One of the men was holding a gun in each of the incidents.
