Seeking Public Assistance - Suspicious Incident

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance following a suspicious incident that occurred earlier today.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, May 21, 2015, police were called to a homed in the 300 block of 15 Avenue N.E., for a report of a man who had approached a young boy playing in a backyard.

The child's mother heard a man's voice coming from the backyard and when she looked out the window, she saw the suspect speaking to her son and believed he was attempting to coax him off the property.

The woman quickly interrupted the interaction, grabbing the child and taking him back inside. The man left the area and officers were unable to locate him. 

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 5'10" tall, with a heavy build, brown hair and had a scruffy grey beard. He was wearing a black T-shirt and had a deep voice.
