Seeking public assistance - sexual assault incident

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a person of interest in a sexual assault.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on May 21, 2013, a woman was working at a Fabutan studio located at #299, 5005 Dalhousie Dr. N.W. The suspect entered the studio and asked for the key to the washroom. He returned a short time later and then left.

When the victim closed the salon and locked the doors at 9 p.m., she entered the stairwell and was confronted by the suspect. She was subsequently physically and sexually assaulted. The victim was able to fight back and make good her escape.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 30 and 35 years old, approximately 5’ 9” tall with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt with black lettering, jeans, and white shoes.

The Calgary Police Service is releasing CCTV images of a man who may have information about this case. The images are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
