Seeking public assistance - Cranston bank robbery

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify two suspects in relation to a bank robbery that occurred yesterday, Monday, Aug. 18, 2015.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., two masked men entered the Scotiabank located in the 300 block of Cranston Road S.E. One of the men, armed with a weapon, verbally threatened the bank staff. The men then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspects left the parking lot in a vehicle, which police discovered abandoned a short distance away.

The first man is described as 5’7” to 5’9” tall and 145 to 160 lbs. He was wearing a dark, full-zip hoodie that covered his face and had a skeleton print pattern on the front, gloves and dark-coloured pants.

The second man is described as 5’7” to 5’9” tall and 145 to 160 lbs. He was wearing a ball cap, a skeleton face covering, a blue jacket with white logo on the left side of the chest, gloves and dark-coloured pants. He was carrying a weapon in his right hand.
