Seeking Public Assistance - Composite Sketch

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a man responsible for committing a recent sexual assault.

After several interviews with the victim in this case, investigators are releasing a composite sketch of the suspect.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, a woman was walking near 17 Avenue and 45 Street S.E., when she was accosted by the suspect. The man had shadowed the woman for several blocks, even crossing the road to follow her.

The man eventually ran up behind the victim physically restraining and then fondling her. The woman was able to break free and run to a nearby business.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 35 to 40 years old, and 5’5” to 5’6” tall. He had a scruffy appearance, with a stubbly beard and very short hair. He was wearing a black coat, dark jeans, a dark-coloured baseball cap and tanned-coloured work boots.
